The Laughing Auditor had a good one where he went filming outside Southwark Council and one of its staffers eventually came out giving it the big one, throwing insults, and then stole his camera and chucked it down a side street. All caught on camera of course. After it was eventually recovered and the mouthy twat was exposed to his employer, he lost his job and ended up pleading with him not to take it further with the law. Proper lesson in not escalating these things just to look like you’re the man.

Yeah it’s weird he just seems to have disappeared. I was hoping for some update on one of the videos where he got arrested which I think he was going to take to court. Don’t know if anything came of it.

Yeah he was one of the better ones early on when the original "Photography Is Not A Crime" "auditors" were often getting assulted during pandemic seemed well clued up and very quick brain to put police right stood his ground outsmarting several at once a few times
His identity was outed shortly before he disapeared and pretty sure he was a law and psychology student so maybe hes gone off to finish that as he did get assulted by police a few times too despite the law/rights
He gave compensation or donations away to homeless or food / tents on live streaming a couple of times and was on Facebook etc too once but seems nowhere now so would be good to get some sort of update

Bristol does have a homelessness problem. But that video was just quite cringe for the most part. The guy he spoke to re-work class, is pretty spot-on though. And a Jasper fella is generally well regarded

I watch DJ Audits and PJ Audits. They do not do the far right stuff and never give the impression they are on that stuff. Pure Industrial estates and not detention centres and all that shit. I mainly like those two guys. There are probably more but not got the time to watch them.

I like dj audits usual calm style I love the drone footage of industrial buildings I also like dje media not a fan of all his older stuff but he does mainly high quality drone footage of historic and iconic buildings / movie sets etc now after the security banter etc
He now tells them what hes about do first and advises them on the law so they dont waste police time they hardly ever listen amazing some still ring 999 for emergency now about a camera or attempt assault etc after being shown the law/regulations or after so many youtube audits

He does some with dj audits too so you may enjoy his more recent stuff Im not a fan of most the others agravating style but got nothing against those that attempt to educate the police about the law , C.A.A or thier powers politely if they can first

I spotted a man in a doorway doing exactly this a few years ago in Blackpool. Having noticed him, and he certainly wasn't just checking Google Maps, I sought out some street pastors who were nearby, who told me that there was nothing unlawful about filming people in the street. I considered the non- emergency phoneline to at least let the police know, bit he'd moved on (phone still aloft mind you). It must go on everywhere.

I've seen these ones. They come over as very creepy. Definitely not the kind of 'auditor' videos I dig. TBH I hate the term 'auditor' anyway - these people don't don't do any 'auditing' by my definition. 'Wind up merchant' would be more apt in most cases. In the case of that guy, creepy perv would be more fitting.

- I had one follow me around filming because he didn't like my parking (I hadn't parked, I didn't have the keys)........ I've also had neighbors walk into a cardiac arrest where I'm clearly turning their neighbours chest into a waterbed, because we've blocked them in.

- Trying to let patients know their rights when dealing with us (a concerning number of people think we have exceptional powers meaning we just go round kidnapping people)

- "Why are you getting a cup of coffee when you should be saving lives, my aunt Mable spent a whole 2 hours on the floor waiting for you when I couldn't be bothered to drive the 20 mins to help her up"

- General nosiness, traumatic, dead or dying people aren't something you see everyday.

- They want to hold us personally accountable for their relative who died during the pandemic, or even worse want to confront us on behalf of the "vaccine injured" over the "plandemic"

Clearly I'm out of touch, the first few times I saw this thread I just ignored it because I thought "wtf, why would I want to watch a youtube video of someone going through accounts to reconcile income and expenditure?" But did also hear it come up in real-life conversation this week, in the context of people hassling Romany/traveller communities.

I think some of it when it’s public sector facing is “our taxes pay for this, therefore I have the right to wander around this hospital making a nuisance of myself”, ironically this wastes public money (ie tax) due to the resources needed to deal with them

This is what marks it as right wing.

We pay for it therefore I as an individual have the right to do whatever I want irrespective of what the other people who also pay for it want or think. It's about individuals demanding their right to do what they want which is mostly harasses people for youtube clicks. It's a complete rejection of the basic elements of democracy and a collective good.

There's a spectrum of videos here, and even when not explicitly "auditing" they have something in common.... Documenting some version of broken Britain with at best no political anchor or at worst reaching right libertarian conclusions.... Reflective of a big part of British politics therefore.

It's a shame, I like the DIY culture of it, and I like the exposing of day to day reality, but sadly it's another gap the left aren't involved in and right wing politics is breeding in

I don't know what right wing auditor videos you all are watching; I've never seen any. The ones I see are not explicitly lefty but they do all have the common theme of exposing authoritarian attitudes and behaviour that seek to deny the public our rights with lies and illegal arrests.

The auditors hassling innocent and vulnerable people for clicks, clout and money sound terrible. Again, I've not seen any of that myself.

On my local friends group chat one of my old friends got into the whole conspiraloon bullshit and kept going to the hospital to take photos of the ambulances there to prove we were just hanging around at hospital, and we didn't have any work to do.
