ATP 2009 - ATP vs. The Fans and The Breeders to curate

Ok I will admit that one of my votes did go to Pavement, I know it's pretty unlikely they'll play but they said they might play some shows about 10 years after they split and I thought they might be more likely to if was voted for by fans. I'd also kick myself if they hovered around the top 10 but didn't get invited. Although they did only get my vote because Xiu Xiu was on my list but got an invite before I voted.

I'm a bit dissapointed Rolo Tomassi and Abe Vigoda (I voted for both) didn't make it to the 75th place invite, Neutral Milk Hotel were there instead but there is no chance they'll play, I heard they get invited pretty much every year to an ATP event.

New votes for fans strike back:

1. Neurosis
2. Jesu
25. Wolves in the Throne Room
50. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone
75. M Ward
100. Lords

I voted for wolves so I'd be happy if they play, but no new confirmations this week.

more confirmations

Killing Joke, This Will Destroy You, The Mae Shi

Think as soon as payday comes, tix must be bought!

School of Seven Bells, Neil Finn and Hush Arbors were also confirmed today as well as Pete Fowler who is going to have an art exhibition there, yay.

Jesu, Lords, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Grouper, Nico Muhly and Sian Allice Group have all been added as well.

I've also just found out the person I booked a chalet with has pulled out so I've got a single spare ticket if anyone is interested. I'm in a 2 berth twin room so you'd have to share with me, but I'm a nice guy, honest. Looking to sell the ticket face value, about £160 I think. My friend didn't vote so you'd still have a say on who plays and you might be able to share a lift I'm getting with other people I know going, I'm in London but I think the lift will be from Guildford.

Only about 4 more additions to the line up to go. I still have a spare ticket for a 2 berth chalet I'm in if anyone wants it.

Anyone else still want a ticket? Someone in a mates' two person chalet has pulled out and the ticket is being offered 'cheap'

I dunno, that could go horribly wrong. Don't forget Wayne is a big prog and 70s AOR fan.

Well turns out they've (The Flaming Lips) made some brilliant choices so far for their ATP day in the States :) and yet :( coz I won't be there...

I'm driving to the Fans Strike Back next Friday (8th May) from Manchester. Have two spare spaces in the car. Will probably leave around midday. Going to head back Monday morning. If anyone needs a lift and wants to chuck in a bit for the fuel, PM me.

It'll be with me and a mate. We don't bite or anything :D

Right, we're preparing for this now. Sunray, the Rev and myself will be heading off to ATP in the wee hours. Gimme indie rock!

have fun - lick the breeders from me if you get chance.
and you have a tardis to get to the one they're actually playing :o

hehe.

we're setting off in an hour. now that the fourth member of our party has managed to swap his holidays, as he thought we'd booked for next weeks!

almost recovered now, well apart from the black eye, which I have no recall of receiving. Probably somethng to do with Jesus Lizard.

Highlights, Grails, Future of the Left, Beirut, and the Lizard of course.

Biggest pile of wank, a close thing between Andrew WK and Young Marble Giants. WK narrowly wins tho

Sorry, that was probably me. My hand slipped while I was trying to cup David Yow's balls. I did kiss him as he flew past though. What a pair of fucking gigs :D

Future Of The Left should be given their own TV show.

Don't get Grails. Sounded like Ozric Tentacles trying to remember Dark Side of the Moon.

Yeah, I've always quite liked them but seeing them live BLEW ME AWAY...! They were immense! :)

Looking forward muchly to hearing their new album
