They locked out the podium in the hurdles.
Good race and bronze for GB
Not sure I agree with the staged introductions thing but also not sure that just makes me some kind of killjoy *purses lips, shakes head and pulls my handbag up to my bosom*
I like a bit of pomp and circumstance (foootballs on plinth, for example ) but I'm not a huge fan of the entrances either. Not entirely sure why.
It annoys me they can't punch the crap out of them in taekwando - I just feel like the fighter as it took me the same time to have a piss during the round as they have for there break...it's tough from the sofa with spilff and beer!
Too show-biz maybe. You don't want the world's super-athletes acting like tacky Big Brother contestants....
Don't. Drop. The. Baton.
Weird to see Powell and Gay, where were they in the individuals??
Right! Come on, gold for Jamaica, silver for Team GB please!!
I actually missed Bolt crossing the line because I was focussing on Japan
Team GB came 6th or something? Bit disappointing, would hve liked Adam Gemili to have got a medal
Bolt looked absolutely phenomenal!
How are we still in a place where athletes have to nick flags from the crowd? Surely someone can prepare beforehand??
I wonder if he can keep the baton.
"We had the capability of winning it".
Oooh controversy with the USA!
The fuck is this?? More DQs!
Wait, are we now fourth AGAIN?!
Can't see anything wrong with that for the USA
Johnson struggling to find the diplomatic words
Yeah that was funny How not to say "a bit shit"!
Ah no, T&T were behind us so I think we're up to 5th, China 4th.
Oops, BBC introduce an interview with 4 x 100m women, run the interview with the 400m women
I fell asleep and missed it all!
If you haven't caught any news, they should show it again tomorrow morning.
Well, or later THIS morning...
Still haven't seen any hard evidence that our 400m relay chaps did anything to merit disqualification.
What did they supposedly do, or has that not been revealed yet?
3. Brazil now qualify for the final
Supposedly one of the runners had his foot on a line he shouldn't have during one log the changeovers. Video evidence has someone in the way (or the bit I saw last night did) but there is an official on the line apparently.
I watched it again this morning and still nothing.
The only thing left is what Michael Johnson said: that the official told Martin Rooney to get in position 2 and Rooney (knowing the rules) said no, I go in position 1. So he may have disobeyed the official because the official was wrong. But there's no picture evidence.
I couldn't see anyone step over any line but (as as been said) it may ave been obscured. On the news this morning, there's still no clarification.
