At what age did you regularly start going to gigs?

My first gig was at the Club a Gogo in Newcastle and I must have been 15. It was John Mayall's Bluesbreakers featuring Eric Clapton.

My second gig was at the same place a year or so later. The same band but with Peter Green on lead guitar.

My third gig was a year or so later at the same place, seeing the same band, but this time with Mick Taylor on guitar and Dick Heckstall-Smith on saxophone.

I also had all their albums....

No Jimmy Page though, Sirena ? You're just one guitarist away from shouting 'House!' in R&B bingo.

ETA: Hang on, no, he was in The Yardbirds, wasn't he? I think every guitarist under the sun played for them at some point, too.

We must summon yardbird to the thread for expert eyewitness testimony, of course.

Started going to local band gigs aged 12/13. Can precisely date my first 'proper' gig as the 4th July 1990 at Birmingham Irish Club as the now justly forgotten ska band And Why Not had the England World Cup Semi-final defeat as their support. Did somewhat dampen the spirits. After that regularly went to see local bands and the three monthly or so 'big gig'.
