Ashes 2006-2007 Adelaide

so slow though! was that really all down to the pitch? Anyway, well done lads!

"It's always a challenge against Warney, but I enjoy a good fight and playing against the best side in the world," said Bell

Isn't that what this test series is about Ian? Who's the best? Why have you just conceded that they are? That's a bit silly isn't it?

I was just reading through yesterday's review on the beeb and this quote came up.

Australia officially are the best side in the world, on the ICC Test Championship table. They are 1st with 130pts, England are 2nd with 119pts. Bell wasn't conceding 'bragging rights', just stating fact.

I'm not sure if England can (mathematically) get the number 1 spot during this series.... but they will need to win the series at least 3-1 at a guess. As England did poorly in their last visit to Aus I think that the current result will 'replace' the last result.

... long way to go though.....

The funniest thing was watching McGrath saunter over to try and catch KP in the last over.

Slow doesn't begin to explain it!

lol

:D

Well there you go,3for after a full day:eek: Been a while since thats happened:D and its been a good day for Collingwood too.Hope he makes a ton then gets straight out:D
Its almost a repeat of last series in a way.I think McGrath needs a rest from what was written a couple of posts ago
Anyway i bet you pommy bastards think Christmas has come early;) dream on:D

No - it was always who ever won the toss was going to bat.

But it was funny watching KP stand up to Warneeeeeeeee.

The salad dodger looked tired towards the end. Good viewing! :p

if (and what an if that is) england beat australia two times in two years then those official ratings would become less important.

Fuck me, is that Aussie voice-over bloke on the BBC 10 minute download package (of each days play) camp enough ?

Makes Charles Hawtrey sound like the Viacom voice.

He's going to be in a filthy mood.

McGrath's shite when he's riled up, seen it happen before. When he's angry he loses all control and the batsman's won.

Did anyone else know that Brett Lee has fewer Test wickets at a higher average than Matthew Hoggard after roughly the same number of Tests?

I find that interesting

Glennda is being given the same treatment that Warne got last year (and this actually) - no respect. You'll get wickets mate but you're going to pay for them...
