Give him another season, been saying that for the last few seasons actually :D,I believe he's one of the highest managers in football, better start earning his money over the summer, the top 4 have suddenly turned into the top 6,him and the club can't afford to stand still over the summer.

actually, yeah, sack him, let's see what happens next. was he holding them back or holding them up - only a sacking will answer that question!

I'm not sure about that , I can see Liverpool going backwards now that they are not in europe, the top players will want to move on to keep getting european football especially with euro 2012 at the end of the season. Arsenal just need to spend a bit of money to fill some gaps and they will be competing for the title properly again, the question is will Wenger want to spend the money.

:D, I really do admire the football Arsenal play and as plenty of other clubs have showed splashing money all over the place is no guarantee of success and can be a disaster, quite a few times it has been Arsenals bad luck that United have had such a strong mental strength or there would probably have been a few more trophy's for you to have taken home.

This is perhaps his lowest point since joinging the club and we still finished 4th went to a cup final and beat Barca at home.

I say he stays for another year definatley. Besides, who would replace him?

Not sack him, but as said above, he needs to swallow his pride and spend this summer, there is no one to replace him.

Fuck knows, our form over the last 3 months has been as dismal as I can remember, losing the cup final was a massive disappointment, prob the biggest of the season esp when you consider that Birmingham have just been relegated, the stupid way we lost it turned us into a laughing stock and just reinforced our reputation as bottlers :(

I am a massive admirer of Wenger, but something has gone badly wrong in the last few years. He is fucking brilliant, a genius, but it lookslike morale is dropping rapidly, he's still a stubborn bastard re transfers and (not) buying in the necessary... I dunno. I feel bad suggesting that he should go, but something pretty major is wrong at Arsenal, and I just keep finding myself thinking that AW's philosophy has run its course, and he seems to have got more stubborn, paranoid and isolated as time goes by.

Something major needs to change at the Emirates, that's for certain.

Yeah, that is the problem, who could replace him? But there will come a time when he has to go. I just wonder how soon (or not) that time may be.

Also, there may be changes of direction / policy as a consequence of the ownership changes too... Dunno, just thinking out loud really.

I'm pissed off though, we're such a great club, a great team, but it's just not happening the way it should, nowadays :(

It's time for the owners to say "right, you've been frugal for years, thanks for that, but in the close season you have to spend £50m NET on 3 players: a world class keeper, a centre back, and a striker, and sell or ditch at least twice that number. And if you don't get a lot closer to winning the league next season, you're off.".

yeah, if you don't have a top class keeper by the start of the new season then i'll say he's lost his mind and should not only be sacked but committed as well.

  21. Daniel

    Daniel DelusionalDancer Since1991

We won't, he'll put all his trust into Chezzers.

i said if arsenal signed a top new keeper and centre back at the start of this season then they were going to win the title.

Next season they will need more then that! Still 4 players and about 30 million spent and i reckon they will be a hell of a lot closer dpending on what man city do.

Keepers could be the big story of the top half transfer window, with certainly Arsenal and Manchester United needing one, and Spurs possibly looking too.

agreed, but i said that last season!

de gea at althletico, lloris at lyon and akineev at moscow would be my three top targets. Spurs might well go in for foster.

Shay Given's going to want to leave Eastlands too, I'd have thought, and at 35 someone could still get 3-5 years at the top out of him.

oh yeah there will be a few mpves but i would have thught given will end up at villa or sunderland or umm err one of the midtable and above clubs that have a fair bit of money rather then a championsleague/uefa team.
