Rooney, Rooney!

:)

Own goal for gallas methinks.

Fuck. this games lookin shite for my fantasy side. ive got aluminia in goal (van der sar on the bench), fabregas (yellow), evra (yellow), and if i was wenger id pull my striker (adebayor) off and put on walcott.

"I told the guys we had to fight until the end and if we have to die we will die together. I think today we showed everybody we can die."

- Gallas, post match

Awesome. Bush'd be proud of that...

Wow! Not our best performance by a long shot but justice was done after the flukey own goal and our nailed on penalty claim. Anderson blatantly should have got sent off according to this season's ref's diktat on card waiving but I'll take the draw.
At 90 minutes I said to Mrs P, 'I'm going to adopt the last-minute-against-United position' and knelt in front of the telly with my face four inches from the screen, where I was when Henry scored the winner last season, 'It might bring us some luck' I said.
Then BAM:D

Does Arsenal's reaction to a draw at home sum up their ambitions this season? Jumping about and hugging and forming a circle in the middle of the field after stealing a draw? :D

Glad to see 2 points from 2 games against "top 4" teams pleases ye so much. :D :D

I think if you're a passionate fan or player who plays for the badge,, an injury time equaliser against your greatest rivals when it looked like they would totally undeservedely nick the game from you and destroy your unbeaten record? Yeah, you'll celebrate:D

As for the sour grapes about lack of ambition and two points from two games:eek: :D
You're neglecting one thing Mr Doofos. All we need to do to win the league is draw against our rivals and beat the teams that they beat. Simple as that:cool:

So none of this nicking it from united, i think quite honestly we will blow them away. We've gotta be looking at, what, 4-0, perhaps they might get a goal from somewhere. Now, what are the odds for 4-0 and 4-1?? I'd bet if i could.

:D :D :D :D :D

Ya that attitude will win you the league. :D

What I must say though is it's players like Gallas will win it for you. What a fine player. Honest and hard working. Player and a half.

Erm and we got six points off them last season and finished 15 points behind....its not the result, its not losing against the mancscummothafuckers at our home ground...Argggg!!! Couldnt have lived with that.

Well done the Arse" !!!

I know. But it sends a message that a point at home against United is a big deal.

The season before last I was up at Old Trafford when we beat Chelsea 1-0. The players were happy after but in general just trooped off, no group hugs or any of that corney shit with the season 1/3 of the way through.

They were thinking that beating Chelsea 1-0 at home is no big deal. It's the least they should be doing. In my view it was the kind of attitude that won the league last year.

No, not losing to Manu at home is a big deal, peroid. Dont forget this team was discounted comprehensively for any title challenge.

Cant wait till we go up there.

It was discounted over the summer.

But in the last few weeks there is talk about how good this team is. I read a comment in one of the papers in the pub today that this is the best Arsenal team ever. Supporters are on this thread saying you would spank United 4-0.

But the reaction after the whistle today day the team don't believe the above. They are happy with a point at home againt the champions.

I think you'll find that these two match's were ment to be the true test for Arsenal after the "easy" run they've had. Not losing againstthe two teams tipped for the top and remaining unbeaten in 12 math's is an achevment thatI think I would celebrate.

This is not the best team to have played in red and white btw (we've won nothing ffs!! lol) But it has been the best I seen Arsenal play at times. But that means fuck all if you dont keep your cool and NOT LOSE.

Again well done the boys. We've kept our unbeaten record....Long may it continue (and you know it can)...I celebrated like a fucking nutter!!

Yeah, I agree. I'm was never 100% about Big Willie, despite liking his camp and relaxed persona, I really didnt think he deserved to be captain of such an illustrius ship...but days like this make me reconsider:)

This is why Wenger is in the dugout and and the rest of us are in the stands.

Arsen Knows

:)

From the highlights I caught, it looked a great game. What fantastic skill, pace and passion.

I hate it when the coaches spoil it with their ref nonsense (as SAF does again today) and it turns me off the Prem.

SAF - just walk around any park this Sunday morning and see the consequences of your irresponsible bullshit in the behaviour any age-specific match. You, Sir, are a cunt.

well, it's perfectly Ok, just as it will be when we do the same at OT.
to repeat; last year, our big failing was against non-top 4 teams. sharing the points against Utd and pool is never a problem.
nice to see the traditional Utd heartland of Brixton is holding up:cool: :p

I don't think Arsenal's reaction was to the draw, as such, more to the fact that they kept going and got such a late equaliser. If the equaliser had been ten minutes earlier so they weren't so hyped up I don't think the reaction would have been the same. Also, this team was written off by many pundits before a ball was kicked. They had just been tested on consecutive weekends and were still unbeaten.

I was pleased for the assistant ref. They have so much stick for what they 'miss' that it was good to see one of them get a 'big' decision right. If you watched it in real time it happened so quickly and at such a time in the match and with the relative positions of the two clubs it really was a 'big call'.

When you take into the equation that it was against the EPL highest profile club (and SAF) with only seconds to go (and the assistant would have known that) it was a very good shout and when you see the replay at full speed it happens so very quickly and the flag goes up instantly.

Good call.

He got a lot wrong before that. And the ball was a country mile over the line, wasn't that tough a call...

Looked like the arse thought they'd just won the league by their reaction at the end, bless :D

amazing the media reaction after that game. it seems the whole country is behind arsenal and their youngsters. ferguson didn't help with his comments either. downright bias if you ask me.

long may it continue. up the gooners. and fuck tottenham. i had an encounter with some yids on the tube coming form the emirates. lovely chaps :(

not in the papers I've read?

Interesting that Gilberto did not join in the pathetic postmatch huddle...he saves that for winning world cups not for a home draw in the league...:)
