Arnie vs Sylvester

I've always preferred Arnie to Stallone's commie-slaying Rambo bollocks.

The first Rambo film isn't like that at all. It's a surprisingly intelligent action film. Well, compared to what I was expecting, at any rate.

Arnie without a doubt.

Although Arnie couldn't act his way out of a damp paper bag, Sly wouldn't even know enough to try. On top of that, I can't think of a single Stallone film I've considered to be anything better than medicore whereas Arnie has had the (first two) Terminator flicks and the superbly underrated sending-himself-up Last Action Hero.

As an aside, was anyone else startled that the "The US would like to salute the brave freedom fighters of Afghanistan" message wasn't censo... er, glossed over in the recent repeats of Rambo 3?

They are ok, but I would have liked all of those films better with a more skillful actor in the lead, True Lies in particular. I have no fondness for 80's action film stars, a wardrobe would have done almost as good a job as most them.

I thought Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang was an action film that really benefited from having a decent actor like Robert Downey Jr. in the lead instead of some witless muscle lunk.

The Rocky series are classics and the latest Rocky - Rocky Blaboa is a great film and has a real emotional impact and was directed by Stallone himself

Arnie on the other hand although was in good films like Terminator, only played a cyborg, with little acting required.
He also makes stupid films like Junior.
