Arghh I got me theory test tomorrow.

One of the best things I ever learnt was to drive in third gear unless the roads clear for a good way in front. Another thing is try not to drive at all, it's a smelly dangerous habit and make people really tired and ratty

Good Luck

Funny thing was I was talking to my sister on the phone and she said, congrats now you can forget it all like the rest of us.

So I replied, I am less then halfway down the road and I have forgotten half of it already.

Was talking to a cab driver about learning and we said the same thing.

Why bother teaching people to drive with two hands on the wheel doing that nonsense movement to get around corners when I don't think I seen more then 10 people in my entire life driving like that?

Why not let people drive as 99% of the country drives, sometimes one handed, crossing hands when turning, etc, atleast then, you know how they are going to drive after they passed their test and you can judge them on that.

All this rubbish about using two hands when hardly anyone drives like that after their test is just silly, you have no idea how people will drive after they pass cause they certainly won't be driving like that.

I think the theory is that if you teach you to drive properly in the first place, then when you've mastered that, you can drive one handed. I think you've got to be fairly experienced to drive casually. If you drive like that when you've just passed your test/learning to drive, you're going to have an accident.

They teach you to drive like that for a reason - it's safer.
