I currently have glossy black on my toe nails, which I might change to dark red presently. I also have the remains of a metallic coffee colour on my fingernails, which I am considering re-doing now. Normally paint the hands to match the toes at the weekends.

Usually just toes, but I currently have dark polish on my fingers for the first time in years, because I got poshed up for a wedding.

I didn't predict that it would make removing soft contact lenses so bloody difficult though I just can't seem to grab them out properly.

mmmm rouge noir - can't afford it, but i've found some fairly decent similar ones.

currently got the curse of the orange nail varnish atm... looks vile but can't be arsed to do anything about it, it's on fingers and toes... normally only wear it on my toes so it looks doubly horrid.

i think it's the winter chill, i can get away with all kinds of evil colours in summer.

i used to do my nails every day, when i was in my early 20s. but more people seem to object to the smell now... i never seem to find time

plus, i really resist being a 'fat woman with immaculate nails' - it's a rarely noticed cliche but it makes me feel self-conscious.

usually have red/pink tonails, though.

edit - oh and I hate french manicures. they look weird!

wearing it on my nails is my new fun thing. i change it up all the time! usually i wait til they are reasonably chipped first before i change them, how lazy. dark colors for winter are so much fun. i have on dark grayish purple now. and always super super short nails.

I very occasionally paint them but am so so lazy that I wait till it all chips/rubs off or grows out.

I have a tiny spot of scarlet on the end of each big toe nail due to this behaviour.

A kid in my class thought my toes were bleeding when we were swimming the other day and got all upset

I sure am - on my fingernails it's a kind of green/grey/olive/brown color called "You Don't Know Jacques"

on my toenails - a lovely shade of magenta (in need of replacing)

This. I love it when it is first done, but hate it when it begins chipping. I'll sometimes leave it there though, because chipped nail varnish is tarty

If so, that's what my nails look like naturally.. pink in the nail bed and white at the ends..

Would go back to the nail shop tomorrow and get falsies, if I was earning..

yup.

thats how i usually wear mine...unless im going somewhere and want to paint them to match what im wearing.

I had a very nice natural looking french manicure done earlier this year, which was like my nails only better. After it chipped I rushed out to buy a french manicure kit (which I've never used )

I've just rouge-noired up my nails (well, faux rouge noir). I'm feeling all glamourous
