but it was annoying to be told by bees (and others) that on a car licence, you can only drive up to 3 and a half tonnes, which is quite restictive ....

aye, for new licenses this is true :(

Excellent report, I'm afraid ours is very different :o and involves booze and truffles and early flaking :D

Strawberry Fair really is the best day of the Festival Season because it marks the official start of it.
Only for you Southern lightweights ;)

...Best thing to happen at that point was Stig finding her lost hat in the dark! Very good luck, that ...

:) Wow! I love it when things like that happen!

..Thats a great report William, and I totally agree with you about the rubbish. It was shocking, like wading through it. And thanks for reminding me about the marvellous buggy steersman Grahame, he really had a tough job, with the incredible amount of litter.
I wonder why people think its ok to do this?
Anyway the beers were indeed excellent, you guys were all drinking pints as opposed to my halfs. :D

I would just like to mention, the double rainbow, which was very very nice. :)

 That was a truly great festival, first time I'd been, will definalty make this a regular thing - was a bit hesitant to make the journey when I saw the rain in London that Saturday morning but glad I made the effort, got there about 4ish , thought I'd never find any other urbanites amongst the crowds, but I knew if I stayed near the pub I would be bound to run into some of you soon enough, and I did :D Nice to see WoW, Stig, Wyn and others (whose names I can't recall at the moment :o )
Journey home on the train was a laugh as well - thanks to some very generous geezahs who were sharing the carriage with us!
The batteries on my camera ran out so only a few of the photos I took on the day came out!

As anciernt threadbumps go, I'm really happy (for once ;) ) about that one ....

Tort's and editor 's pictures brought back some nice old memories, as did my own War and Peace-length :D account (foot of previous page), the contents of which I've long ago forgotten ... :)

I'll be back next June (first Saturday in ... ), once some things are back to normal-ish :)
By then it will something like my twenty-fifth time. Or more!
Lots has changed :hmm: at Strawberry Fair since 2005, but you can still have a cracking day :)
