Well it's not something you can prove one way or the other. But isitme seems to think it's the main reason England aren't that good.

Nah, the main reason England aren't good is because of our managers in my view. When we have a decent manager we usually do pretty well

I do think the fact that our players rarely leave the Premier League is a bad thing for the national side tho

You're not wrong. I was relatively stoned when I started it, the point was to bring into question the dearth of homegrown talent making it into our Top Sides and consider whether this might have something to do a more accepting stance towards foreign imports.

Kids don't play in the street so much, but there are loads of new places like 'Soccer City' or whatever which are still full of kids

i think it's more that kids aren't allowed to hang around on the streets anymore than they can't be bothered to play

The irony in that is the reason he got appointed was because people were crying out for an English man to lead the national side.
