    Any chance you can post the original so we can compare? I suspect I would prefer it without any PP manipulation.

    No; I'm going with this one. What you see is what you get. :)

    I downloaded the free Nik Efex suite a little while ago, and am having a great time with it.

    That's fair enough. Can you at least tell me whether you know what to expect from Nik Efex at the time of shooting, or is it all a question of wait and see?

    I shoot the photos same way I always did, then depending on the color and light, might apply a filter or two. There are only maybe 4 or 5 that I'll ever choose from.

    Having Nik available reminded me that I've never really liked the look of digital photos. I've just become used to that look. I always preferred film; but I'm too lazy to do a lot of film photography. Plus, it's expensive.

    I like the fact that the software allows me to alter that digital look.

    Yeah. It's with them now. It's a bugger because there are only 2 games of the rugby season left and I don't have any glass long enough to use the sony. :(
