I am sorry to have iSinned. Let's have more big graphics saying absolutely nothing!

I shall undoubtedly be in the AIM chatroom, getting live feeds, and taking the piss out of everything that's said with all the other sad Mac types.

We know what it is and you can buy them, to think you can own this very item, no 'whooping' or Steve Fucking Jobs speech required.

Back on topic, I'm currently thinking this might be some kind of ultra-portable sub-notebook without an optical drive. With a built-in 3g modem... It might be a tablet, but it will have a multi-touch trackpad. (And these will be rolled out during the rest of the year to other models)

If they did make something like this, it wouldn't be that cheap.
Apple love to put premium prices on their products.

init, I almost bought a ipod touch at the weekend... 300 euros for 8gig! - fuckoff. I got a 4g flash drive for 69 euros recently.

The touch is very overpriced cos of the big screen. The 8G nano is 120 quid.

Well... It depends what you want. If you want a cheap mp3 player you can get cheaper. But if you want a media player with internet capabilities, and the possibility of adding applications later, its quite good...

Ah...(that's what I wanted it for) yeah I decided if I was going to spend that much I may as well wait for the iPhone. I thought the nanos looked better in person but that screen is just too small.

I'm still going with ultra portable laptop, $500, thin as hell. Like Jaed I think it'll come without an optical drive.

as oppsed to the tragic editor who went looking for the image to mac bash of course...
Oh yes! It's really 'tragic' to post up a funny, light-hearted photo that's on the front page of the most popular technology blog on the planet.

And how's that picture 'bashing the Mac,' Einstein? Try as I might, I can't see any Apple stuff in there, only some sad tossers who take it all too seriously.

A bit like you, I suspect!

Can we get all the slagging out of the way for 6pm so we can talk about the gadgets please? Thanks :)

Ultra-portable from Apple for $500 - I somehow think not. Given that a basic MacBook costs £700 that should be your base price and work up from there.

Innit. This will not be cheap.

Whatever else certain folk think of Apple you have to admire their control of unwanted media leaks. The fact that nobody has a clue what hes announcing later today is quite an impressive achievement.

That's more to do with their fearsome legal team, their bullying media tactics and ruthless hounding of blog writers. Not sure if it's something that I'd want to applaud.

Nah that's not the product, yes some Apple fans are quite obsessive, but some Apple-bashers are just Apple fans in denial, least that's how it looks.

How's that then? And who's been "Apple bashing" here?
