Anyone work/worked at Lush?

All the employees in the Colchester one have loads of piercings, I don't think I was cool enough for them :(

:D

You're hardly scary looking though :D

Post office is looking for extra people. I saw a sign in my sorting office yesterday. Don't they pay pretty well?

I only wanna work saturdays which might prove tricky working for the post office :hmm:

And the only pics I have are myspace style posey ones on my work machine :D:D:D

I was just going to suggest the Post Office as well. I need someone based in Blenheim Gardens to keep an eye on all my mail that the thieving posties nick every Christmas

:D I sent a CV left off the photo lol

Fucks sake why can't I even get an interview to work in a shop?!  :D

Lots of people wanting extra jobs etc on the run up to xmas together with the global melt down of capitalism looming and that.

I think Lush is seen as a *cool* employer, so gets lots of interest from perspective employees.

seems to be a lot of posh maybe private school girlies who do it for a jobette

Just been in the one in Derby and all three staff were male..

if you are only wanting shop work on saturdays, you are up against all the 16-18 year olds looking for xmas work, as well as students back for xmas, all of whom will cost less then you do, and are more likely to be willing to work sat and sun. every temp jo i had over xmas wanted me to work sat and sun, plus boxing day etc for the sales rush.

if you are looking for extra work, how about bar work, care work ( particularly nights, less people want to work nights in the run up to xmas we have found at work, so we are getting more agency/bank staff) or post office? or cleaning?

also, if you can face it, a lot of street fundraiser/chuggers take on extra staff over xmas to corner all the shoppers. money isnt too bad, but i know its not for everyone

or maybe hospitality events?

Or just spend less! :D

Seriously, is the stuff you are hoping to buy *really* worth giving up your weekends to some job you hate- or could you just do without it.

(positive suggestion, not a moral lecture)

i already am spending less, only buying for kids in the family this year - there's still 7 of them though!

Why would I hate it? That's the point in trying to get a job somewhere I won't hate....like Lush. :)
