Anyone watching the match in Brixton tonight?

I'd come to the goblin but I don't think I know you. :(

Do I? :o

Everyone knows me. Well they don't actually.

But slightly sadly, it's a fair bet that a high proportion of people in the pub and the staff will know me by (real) name. So if you're keen for pub action, pop along and I can escort and deposit you to a table of rabid -Arsenalians.

PM if you get stuck...

:)

Are you going to the EDT? I'm not that arsed about the match, but am right in the mood for a quick stiff drink after work, and its on my way home... help a lady in distress ;)

I'll be there for about 6:45pm I guess, perhaps sooner!

The Eau de Toilette?

I need a drink - been drinking since midday and I'm going to fall asleep if I don't consume more alcohol right now :o :D

ok... think I'll be finished here sooner than that.
Trashy - when do you finish work? Fancy a drink somewhere on your way to the hobgoblin?

Yes :) and around 5.30 so I can be pubwise by 6 ish. I have a book to read though - something about some blokes and a dog on a river if that's too early ;)

Are you still online?

Don't mind really - text me. :)

Isn't anyone watching the match in Brixton rather than the arse end of Dulwich or the Hobgoblin? :(

Yep still here... not sure where people are watching the match... should I head Brixton way, and settle down with a drink and book then? Or Dulwich way?
I'm easy, depends where you want to watch the match - I'll probably head home after a few.

Brixton. I'll get lost in Dulwich and it's an arse to get back from for me ;)

There is nowhere sadly in brixton to watch football, except the hob. cept for the canterbury arms, which smells like decaying old people in my experience.

dogstars got it too i'd say, but its a bit like a morgue in there sometimes.

i watched the last game in the albert. wasn't the best screen in the world but it did the job.

I'm not coming to see you anymore Filter - I've found out where this Tavern is.

I'm going to get shitfaced in Brixton and then Streatham instead. Sorry old boy.

Come to the Albert. I'll point out the arsenal players for you

On the screen obviously - I don't expect any of them will be in the pub

The only two good football pubs (imo) locally remaining are the Hob and Ganley's really, which is a real shame. I miss the Regent in particular, which was excellent for the less popular games. Same with the Commercial as it used to be - I even miss the old White Horse.

:(

The Effra's library quiet, the Canterbury a little too uninvolved for footie, the Albert's almost an afterthough.

oh - didn't see that......

Well I'll be up to Streatham, Dub - after my date with Tanky and a scoot over to see Mr Filter and the boys with nice calves.

I feel all flirty today :)

I've got you a gift, gotta impress on our first date :)
