Anyone see channel 4 9 pm me mum and heroin?

there was a thread on the very subject of these documentaries on here not that long ago.

what a dumb thing to do as 'an experiment'

I thought it was a pretty interesting program but I felt, in some ways, the mother was addicted to being the mother of an addict. If she really wanted to get the daughter clean then the first order of business should have been to give the boyfriend a couple of grand to disappear. The second should have to move out of Brighton.

If only life were that simple mate.

The ads made me a bit:hmm: cause it looked like some m/c girl with a mum dealing with her habit.

didn't watch cause it would have annoyed me

Yeah it's not that simple really. It was obvious the girl was not ready to give up, and tearing her away from the fella was not going to help matters.

So there was, ta for that!

I don't think the 'experiment' argument was genuine. I think that was just his crap excuse for taking smack. See also Kurt Cobain and his stomachache.

It's been a while since I saw it, but the main thing I remember is how desperately infuriating and sad it was to watch an obviously talented and intelligent man slowly self-destructing.

Maybe I'll dig it out and Youtube them later.

If someone gave me a couple of grand to 'disappear' i would.

then come back for another 'couple of grand to disappear' again in a few month after i'd spent it all on drugs.

:)

I think he's in prison at the moment. Pretty sure he was a while ago anyway..

I've been on & off the streets (and gear) in Brighton for the past few years and I know the both of them. They let me stay at their (mate's?) flat last winter and I've booted them off my pitch a fair few times in the past too..:D

Sorry to bump this, I just wanted to correct that. He's not in prison, he's been going around Brighton with his hood pulled right down over his face becuase everyone who knows him saw it and they've all been ripping the piss out of him :D
