anyone remember STEORN free energy?

Bandwidth exceeded apparently. Doh!
I managed to read that page before it went down.

Apparently the heat from the camera lighting is stopping it working. They are hoping to have it up and running tomorrow. There's a link to a live webcam feed which wasn't working either.

I'm going head down to have a look tomorrow then.

I reckon its a wind up but am interested to see what they are showing off.

Of course, but I'm interested in what they are showing off. Its a proper museum down the road from me.

Its probably a black box with some flashing lights.

The hitch was that there was nowhere to plug it in.

They should have made it solar powered run off the camera lights.

Put off until 'further notice'

ho hum.

Been a while since I heard of a random data compressor.

He there is a picture on the BBC site, it looks like a bit of perspex with some metal in.

Incredible, breaks the laws of physics, saves the world from itself and looks a bit like a fancy wall clock.

I actually have a bet running with my ex-flatmate about this. I think it's something like twenty quid if it doesn't work, vs everything I own if it does. Which is pretty exploitative of me really :(

Who is 007? I think someone who knows how to backtrace IP addresses and all that kind of spooky hacker shit should check to see it's not jazzzzzz

I thought it was known the company behind it ar an Irish web based marketting organisation or something similar. I'm not saying marketeers can't have an interest in funding years of R&D into alternative energy. But you know. It smells funny...

OH and they're allegedly very litigious.

But they can't logically sue you for saying that.

You could, if you were an admin there and here, compare IP addresses. There's a lot of Jazz's out there though.

Glad it's a "high end" scope, and they're using "torreedal" coils ...

almost got half way through that before my brain shrivelled up.

The other vid shows a motor with a generator on top and a battery powering the motor and the generator charging the battery.

If this was true, then why do they need the battery? Surely they should be able to feed the power from the generator straight into the motor and spin the thing by hand and it should go on forever?

I've had cable for a good 8 years, and a thousand times I have channel-hopped past various "spiritualist" programmes without ever feeling tempted to actually even glance at one ...

True, but few of those are saying they are going to solve global warming, war and famine in the next few years.

Generally most of those channels are telling you that accepting a shit life now is a route to a better life next time, Hinduism being the most prime example of that.

What they are saying is 'Look here everyone! this is the device that's going to solve world peace'. We all stand and watch for a while, its a nice show and when they switch it on and the lights flicker and go out followed by a sad *pop* we all all sigh and shuffle off mumbling 'bloody waste of time' under our breath and its instantly forgotten.

I randomly remembered these guys and had a look at the website.

Snake oil in electronic form of course. They have a solid state version now though and the SKD (eh?) cost you 400 quid to get the details of how to make it.

Nicely wound coil you have there sir!
