Anyone heard about at unofficial set-ups at Carnival this year?

how old are you?

tell you what, why not ask **** from the *** rig if it's ok to post the name of his rig and possible weekend plans the week before something may be happening?

i'm sure you can cover the cost of their lush kit if it gets put through a woodchiper

Quite amusing that you posted about me spitting out my dummy isn't it.

Simmer down love.

it's ***** :rolleyes::mad:

not been down for a few years, might actually go to this one. don't know about any illegal rigs or wrong doings occifer, if i do hear about any i'll be sure to pm PC onket.

Well I do know that the Nine Bar set-up will be in their usual spot. Sancho Panza will be in their usual spot with loads of Funktion 1 as usual. I ( Dekked) will be doing a float with lodsa NCA and the Terrahorns courtesy of Disjunkt ( no they`re not playing so don`t need to be shy about naming them either!) and The Poison float will be the usual Void set-up courtesy of Dirt Sounds

See I named loads there but they`re all legal. I have heard the usual crack-down will happen this year on un-official static systems. Also if anyone can raise Ladbroke Grove railway bridge up from 14` 6" I`ll be very happy as trying to get everything under it is a major pain in the butt!

.p.

i don't get the point of this post, from both sides, no point in gossiping and anyhow the police know instantly anything is happening, the whole area is riddled with them. Tbh last year it was overkill and seeing innocent people being frisked and the overdose of so many police killed the party spirit really.

In berlin, where things are generally wilder, they have these funny police with these tops on.

Yeah, I did notice last year there were loads and loads more coppers about. The entrance to All Saints Rd was actually blocked off by them and letting a slow stream of people through one bit of the little fence. The year before it was just open road :(

Every year they chip away at the tiny bit of freedom we get at Carnival.

When I was younger the party went on for days, sound systems in squats, loads of weed, deafening bass.

At least last year the mad youths fought the police instead of each other....

It was reported that nearly 500 people were arrested for fighting the police last year. I don't recollect seeing anything about the numbers charged let alone convicted. Anyone have any information on this?

We have the same fuckwit in charge of the police operation this Carnival as we had at April's G20 demonstration. It does not bode well. Will they enforce the 9pm police curfew with batons and pepper spray?

But that big fight was like hours and hours after Carnival had finished wasn't it, just under the bridge on Ladbroke Grove yeah??? Those kids certainly weren't the average Carnival type anyway were they.

For the record, and to get the thread back on track(ish), I'll probably be at 9 Bar / Pineapple Tribe. :)

So for all then people who are not bestest friends with the rig owners. How do we find out who is playing out at Carnival then?

This is the official sound-system list for carnival 2009:

If they do I'll be streaming the maddness live from my mobile on Qik!

That's not very good. Anyone confirm what it says about Pineapple Tribe's location & them only being there one day? Ta.

This seems to happen every year. Once They were on the corner where Aba Shanti play on the Sunday and Aba was there on the Monday. In recent years Aba has been there both years and Pineapple are usually at the opposite southern corner of the park or just doen the road from that, from memory.

It says 'Opposite The Walmer Castle' on another site I googled & my mate said 'on the corner of Ledbury Road and Lonsdale opposite some pub' so I'm hoping that's where they'll be and it'll be for both days.

last few times i gave up on the main carnival and just headed over for Aba Shanti on Monday afternoon, which was always cracking. But I can't even be arsed with that now - just too crowded.

i heard that spiral tribe/desert storm are doing a sound clash with underground sound/restless natives.

the location will be revealed at midday on sunday via twitter

free ketamine and special brew to the first 100 people with a public nuisance top.

23!
