there's a good local music scene. lots of up and coming local bands etc doing gigs in different venues...open mic nights and all that. there's a good club called "the reading rooms" which holds drum & bass nights (pangea, etc), techno nights, house nights and all that. the atmosphere's usually brilliant. most of the other clubs in dundee are rubbish imo.

there's lots of pubs, but im not sure what your definition of a 'good' pub is.

i just re-read this thread and realised ive made dundee look really bad. its not really. it has lots of nice aspects too (i just seemed to have focused on the bad ones - which every city has). the people here are generally very friendly.
