i'm not preparred to aide an abeit some one in an illegal action on a public bulletin board thus potentially putting the survival of that board into question when it's servers are raided looking for ip addresses and details of posters asking stupid questions when there are specific faqs which cover this kind of thing...

As a sheer matter of safety I would *really* not advise trying to hook any device where you've got no idea what sort of power it's expecting to the mains. You could set fire to the place or electrocute yourself. And I can't think of any good way of finding out the correct current and voltage etc. It's not like they're all the same and this one you can't even Google.

If only I could get it going... I pressed the big green button to try and start it, and an alarm went off, and so I pressed the big red button to try and stop it, and there was a loud hiss, but it didn't go anywhere, and when I got back out, there was a bit missing off the top

unless you are areturning psoter under a new guise i'm sure you wont' rememeber the wombles cases where print outs from urban were used in court (in their defence i beleive) or the paddick affair... however these boards are watched usually by lazy teidious sad terrminally dim jornos who want to make quick capital and forefill their own agendas in demonising certain sections of society... (aka the daily mail, the substandard and others) so as there is totally preceident for this and current legilation has been brought in which is far more dracionian about websites with certian informaiton on it (which could be seen as glorification of terrorism, article which would be likely to aide or abit a terrorist, etc etc) then it's prolly wise if you have any kind of common sense not to post on these subject matters...
