Anyone else working right up to Friday?

yup. back in on wednesday too.

Shit, innit?

I've got four days holiday left as well, but every other fucker is going away, so I can't take it. Probably get it carried over though.

I think nominally I'm supposed to come in next week on on bank holidays if I don't have any holiday left, just that no one's going to force me or anything. So damn it, I won't.

I'm working till Friday, then have taken between C'mas and NY off, then am back in on the 3rd. This is the first job I've ever had that doesn't just close over the whole Xmas period, so a bit gutting; on the upside, no fucker will be here and all the medical staff in my dept are away anyway, so there won't actually be anything to do after tomorrow.

Lots of divving around for me.

I just have three days off - I was supposed to be working Xmas Eve & Day, but luckily I managed to swap with someone who is a bit of a scrooge. We don't get paid any extra if we are rostered on on holidays, so there wasn't even that as a consolation.

I have two days off this week so I can see the Pogues in Brixton but apart from that I work until Friday and back in on Wednesday. Tbh it winds me up when people just assume it's normal to have about two weeks off this time of year.

I remain grateful I do not have to work Christmas Day however, I know people who have had to do it in the past.

Im off from today till xmas eve working 13.50-21.30, then xmas day 07.10-21.30  my work is short staffed (nursing) and I can do some overtime to help pay for holiday...off boxing day so will meet with friends after work. i have 31st/1st/2nd off though :)

Yup working half of Saturday too. Get half day off to go get trollied though and with my mates and my brother (who i dont see often enough cos he lives in Holland) and his boyfriend so :D

*gets excited again*

Friday

I'm fecking working till Saturday

<shakes fist>

I think in support of all the poor sods in jobs who don't always get weekend soff no-one should do anything on christmas eve ( and that includes last minute present buying you fuckers  )

I was meant to be working til linchtime no Wednesday but had been feeling a wee bit ropey end of last week and came out in rash.

Doc reckons there's a tiny outside chance that it could be German measles so now I'm off as of this morning as I work with 3 pregnant women.

Am actually feeling a wee bit guilty getting the time off as it's such a small probability

Also I wanted to go in and get some bumph before heading back to Wales to see the family, as I start a new job early next year and need to bone up on some stuff.

That and my sister's pregnant so will probably avoid me while I'm back in Wales

Working till 4pm on Friday (going out to get totally trollied courtesy of my lovely boss that evening :D ) and not back at work until 4th Jan. Suits me fine.

I'm in up to 5.30 on Friday, off till the 4th, but in for a couple of hours in between to make sure the server isn't lonely. :)

I'll finish at around 12ish on Friday and then back in again on Wednesday. And that's much better than it normally is. :(

My wife is working her normal shifts all over the Christmas period. (She always has as it gives people with children time off).

How d'you feel now?????? German measles is 'usually' q mild and short lived. Don't know about the infectious period tho. Hopefully u'll feel better soon tho'

I wish. :(

I have two days of work this week, the first for a bit, but I could use some more. Starting again properly at the start of next year though, which is a big relief.

finished on the 16th, back on the 3rd

to be fair, I never had a problem working over Xmas when I was in an office job. I'd much rather have had the time off to enjoy the good weather in the summer!
