My mum said she would lend me the money for the flight so it's all looking good.

I am of course still skint as fuck though, trying to get people up for possibly sharing a car hire from Lisbon or Porto from maybe Wednesday the 27th to the following Wednesday (plus or minus one day)

Aye, just bought a jacket that isn't some insanely hot winter coat just in case. :D

    Long time ago now, but...

How was it? Very chilly at night, or OK? It may have changed somewhat since, but how would you describe it generally.

Just been talking with one of the organisers, and I may well get back to them with a proposal. It is a €10 donation on the gate for next year, but still operates in the free festival spirit. A Tenner seems more than fair to me - some things have to be paid for regardless. Dragon is reaching a point of ZERO TOLERATION from locals just because of the rubbish and broken glass left behind onsite, and outside of the site.

Dragon is still going then????

I've lost touch, and I had thought it was shut down years ago.

Had a hunt around. There's a Facebook page for a 2017 (Spring Equinox) event called Dragon Festival/Dragoff Festival, but unsurprisingly that's a closed group.

Still going but, in a much more unofficial capacity at the site of the hot springs close to Santa Fe (near the airport). Everybody still refers to the festival as Dragon, but it is advertised as Dragoff. Not nearly as well organised, and as I said in an earlier post, rubbish and broken glass is a problem. Wouldn't be surprised if police make more of an effort to close it next year. Many complaints from local people, and bad folk with guns trying to control business on site. This year coincided with Easter/Semana Santa, so police were busy elsewhere. Nothing like it used to be, but still just about going.
