I don't really mind oxford although they are proably nearest for a local derby ( not sure if MK Dons are closer or not ) so maybe I should start hating them a bit more !

who u suppor henry, local derbys for us are Sw!nedon and kinda wycombe (although no-one really cares about WW) if we played reading it would be good too, but thats about it

Wycombe ( which is quite good because no Wycombe fans really care about Oxford :D )

MK Dons is fairly close but the closest Derby I can remember is Slough Town *spits*

youve goot that wally mooney havnt you
he's an arogant fool, who is money hungry!,
i think the 2-2 draw earlier this season was fair, tyson is superb tho i have to say.
the press seem to think of as a local derby, and its not really, buit in this leauge i guess its the best we can expect

I think you are the closest team to us ( although there might be some London teams that are closer ) ! Money may be arrogant and money hungry but he does score occasionally , and Tyson is fucking superb this season , although he did want to leave and there was apparently a premiership scout watching him on Tuesday so he may go in the January transfer window :(

dont count on it, we had marseille watching chris hackett (winger), and charlton watching our welsh international craaaaaaaaig daaaaaaavies (que craig david style voice) but nothings come of, although i think this was something to do with them playing REALLY badly whilst they where there, and picking up their game when the scouts left left.
yeah u are the closest, i remember vila beat us in craling a few seasons back and didnt really deserve it, you lads got maulled tho!

It was the 4th and 5th goals that did us , and I think they were more lucky than skillfull with some of the goals they did get ( 1 own goal , 1 undeserved penalty , and 1 deflected goal ) and without those I reckon we could have held on for at least adraw :(

Well if you discount those 3, it would still have been 5-3 to Villa :p

You might have already mentioned it but what did you think of David 'ahhh now, we're just a small club now so we are, we've got no money so we haven't' O'Learys rant against a section of fans

o'leary always winges about ahving no money....he should try managing a 3rd division team, like WW or oxford or any of them.....this is broke!

Villa fans get accused of being fickle but at 3-1 down at half time against lower league opponents I think the fans were perfectly entitled to voice their displeasure against the dross that they were seeing on the pitch.

Yep, that was my thinking. How a premiership manager can't see the fans right to boo a first half performance like that, especially following the West 'Am game

I went to the West Ham game and was offered a ticket for the Wycombe game but was unfortunately unable to go. Part of me was thinking that I didn't want to fork out more money to watch them and play badly but I had a prior engagement anyway.

Bring on Chelski! :(

It was the "lucky" villa goals that led to the Wycombe defence crumbling , they just knocked the wind out of WW , without them Villa would have had much more of a fight in the 2nd half !

If the team were sufficiently inept to concede three goals in 45 minutes against a League 2 side (no disrespect to Wycombe, but that's what they are) then they deserved a good kick up the arse from the fans.

Remember that debacle came eight days after we got destroyed away to West Ham and three days after we failed again to nail a match that we really should have won at home to Spurs.

It looks like Villa may have got the message from the Hammers..attack attack attack...makes for brilliant games....and there is no point in sitting back against Chelsea they will just mug you.

West Ham play Arsenal on Saturday and my feel is that they should just carry on with the attack minded football that has got them off to a great start.

As I also stated on the West Ham /Villa thread I did not think Villa were as bad as you guys were knocking on about -Milner looked good against West Ham and has built upon that outing with two good performances...stop sticking the boot into your own team and get behind them...you know it makes sense you miserable buggers....

Who would have thought, looking at Villa Park attendances, that theres this much interest in Birminghams second team?

I pity the Toon fans .... 50,000 plus of them turning up to each of the three home games so far to see them score a grand total of one goal.

I'm getting better thanks. And no, it's not nice.

We have got rid of Andy King now though, so things could change. I am not holding my breath.

Why don't you get that bloke who's just left Rovers . I'm sure he'd get Swindon back to their winning ways :p
