Sunray said:Someone has just decrypted the saved game from GTA and has been able to run their own code by changing the code in it. Why is has code in I cannot tell you? Last day or two this happened.
The guy who wrote the EBOOT loader for version 2 is a very happy man.

jayeola said:Surfing the net on a PSP is quite nice actually. Text input is ok, there's a simple button to bring up a menu. Entry is a bit like sms in that you have multi-tap keys. Wish I could take a picture of this in action and in *foucs*. Got a couple of pics here. (http://jayeola.org/BLOG/?p=118)
Took the PSP to work in the hope that I'd find and open network and read the "news", (honest). Takes a bit of time to find an open network in say, the West End of London. Signals get lost but you get reconnected fairly quickly.
Music is not bad on the PSP once you get rid of that AVLS so that you can actually hear stuff.
Games. Metal Gear Acid... <hooked/>
Kid_Eternity said:Cheers for that! Interesting reading, still don't feel I made the wrong choice by buying a DS over a PSP though...
Biffo from Edge said:"The difference between the DS and the PSP is the difference between a slightly dumpy, scruffy feller who tells the best jokes, and is kind-hearted and considerate, who you could take home to your mother, and a flash city boy who has zero personality, but works out at the gym every day, wears a sharp suit and would probably spit champagne in your mother's face then call her a 'working class whore.'"

jæd said:Cool... At the weekend I bought GTA: Liberty City Stories & Wipeout Pure (a must get for PSP!)... I would like to run homebrew on my PSP but I'm not going to risk locking up what is already a very nice little device. Its a pity Sony can't let homebrew run without these hacks... Whats stop somebody putting some an O/s onto a UMD and loading from there...
Sunray said:I think you have to have a licence from Sony to produce a UMD. Remember its not a cut down DVD though it uses DVD technology.
The great thing about this hack if (when) it becomes available is that it chances are that it will be firmware version free. Sony cant stop games working with new versions of the firmware.
jayeola said:Am I right in saying that the PSP does not have an MMU so it wont be able to multi-task?

Sunray said:The EBOOT loader developer reckons it will be possible to get his loader working, when that happens and things I am accustomed to working still work, I will be a 2.6 firmware man looking for a open wireless network.
