right so after 3 hours of jessops today guess what happened....
They replacement camera turned up and i was called yesterday to come pick it up. So i turn up today boefre work and start the ball rolling ...
3 hours later their systems are still mucking around and they produce said replacement camera, as you can imagine due to lenght of time already i was a bit cross, not impolitie (those of you who may know me might find it hard to imagine a contained perfect centre of an '0' which i was this morning....) the replacement is placed infront of me brandished by the truimphant look what i found/got for you shop assistant...
i looked at it, looked back at the assistant, looked back at it, and again at the assistant...
this isn't the same model...

this isn't the same model as my camera it's an earlier one... different model number different shape, and the big give away... different colour... (all pointed out with out he sarcasam above...)
at which point i thought bugger this i'm gettign arefund and will walk otu of here this has gone on too long...
at which point i'm told i cannot have one, only a credit note ...
the assistant apologises say's this is policy and would i lik to speak to the manager about this as she understands i'm not happy about this...
At all points the staff in jessops in new oxford street have been more than helpful, and indeed very decent abotu the whole thing considering their sister store in strutton ground lumped them with the problem in the first place....
the manager turns up and says what's the problem i explain the situation and that i'm fed up and want a refund or a replacement of my camera not an earlier worse model... she nods agrees apologises says she'll be right back and disappears in to the back of the shop....
this then took some time... I thought intially great they are playing the bugger around til i get bored / give up game... so i wait and wait and wait...
some 30 mins later the manager comes back apologises for the wait straight off and hands me a canon 350 !!! say's will i be prepared to accept this by way of a replacement and also as an apology for being kept waiting for now in excess of 4 hours... they then proceed to offer to replace the battery grip and batteries which are not transferable from the 300 to the 350 as well...
i liked the 300 it was a good camera and i got some glorioius shots from it even after it broke (the needed fising in photo shop but hey)
but the 350 is a better camera accroding to reviews it's the camera that the 300 should have been so well see i'll post up some test shots later
