Any car - one catch

The 150 isn't usually the choice of the Jaguar purists, as they tend to favour the first XK120 model from 1949.

For me though it's my fave of the XKs, dunno why, bit like comparing a DB4 to a DB6.

'59 Chevrolet Bel Air (the custom kids favourite!) just fro cruising :D

But the ultimate is the 56 Alfa Giulietta Spider *drool*

Or how about the Bertone prototype (sadly only 1 of 2 in existence)...mmmmmm....yes please!

I prefer that one but only coz it is closer to the MKII which would be my automatic choice if someone offered me a car which they'd pay all petrol and servicing costs for :D

The MK I/II saloons are prettier than the XK coupes I reckon.

You can get Mk IIs (and other jags) that have been totally reworked underneath these days. Full XJR V8 400hp drivetrain, brakes etc... awesome in a 'why bother' kind of way.

yeah definately. for one thing they don't have quite same problem with overly protuding headlamps, and the lines have been refined.

didn't know that. good in a way i guess though it does seem a bit odd. they are such beutiful cars. if kea and I ever get married I want that to be our wedding car

EDIT: Why isn't the picture showing though  I see your code in quote but not on screen.
Cause it has an '&' in the URL, and vBulletin won't allow embedded images like that for technical reasons.

Still thinking abt the car :)

1959 Jaguar XK150 3.8 Coupe.

I have been driven in one of these - a red one.

I called her Jemima and saw her several times before my mate sold her.

He didn't really like me calling her Jemima but she had to have a name :D

Yeah I had a ride in a restored BRG roadster in the early '90s. The bloke had spent an absolute fortune having the work done, but was mortified when I told him they'd fitted 240/340 Jag bumpers incorrectly. :o :D

JD Classics in Chelmsford has a great reputation for that. :) Just have a look at their current stock.

Jaguar MkII. Three engine options, 2.4, 3.4 & 3.8. :)

A Daimler 2.5 is very similar but has a 2.5 V8 engine. :)
