Anti Puncture Bicycle Tyres

Checked when I got home and my Armadillos are the 28 Nimbus type, so probably not much use for your road bike.

Panaracer stradius sport 700x23 or x26. Put 90 in the front and 100 in the rear.

No fancy kevlar belts just solid rubber - not the comfiest but I've done may thousands of winter miles on these tyres and they're hard to beat @£12 each.

People who spout on about Kevlar belts are generally people too lazy to pump / check their tyres every other day - theres no benefit to them imho, its a neat way to sell expensive tyres to people who equate the extra cost with the extra (non existent) security.

Oh and Bonty hardcases, Spesh Armadillos and Conti ultra gatorskins all have something in common - they're all disticntly average tyres touted as being some kind of urban 700c nirvarna. The Bonty is the best of the bunch but thats not saying much, Armadillos have so little grip on wet corners I'm suprised there haven't been multiple lawsuits.

I'm sure Schwalbe Marathons are great if you can get them to stay on a rim...;)

I thought it was just me!

Should have bought the 'plus' variety!

Schwalbe Lugano's are poo though. Any hint of moisture on the road and they simply let go.

Specialized Armadillos get my vote. Have had a pair of all weather 700x23 on my bike since Christmas, and no punctures since then :)(five punctures in one week before that). They handle fine in the wet and I had no problem getting them on the rims. Was expecting a real struggle after reading reviews, but twas fine.
