I bought my fixed-gear from Brick Lane Bikes, who are fixed-gear/singlespeed specialists. They seemed very knowledgeable - the american woman that runs it particularly helpful

as has been said the fillmore is the best of the bunch when it comes to off the peg sub 500quid singlespeed road bikes. it has now been discontinued due a huge spat between greg lemond and trek (the makers of lemond bikes), however it has been reincarnated as the gary fisher triton (also made by trek). that image doesn't really do the paint job justice, it's a kind of pearlescent british racing green in the flesh.

of the others the langster has a shit frame, shit wheels and shit tyres. the genesis flyer has shit wheels and a groan worthy "messenger" crankset
