Littering is a criminal offence subject to on the spot fines courtesy of DEFRA since 06/04 - up to £80.

Cobbles said:If you'd pretended that you'd chucked it in the bin then your only crime was fraud, as opposed to fraud plus littering.

No - you are the world's cheapest thieving scumbag.....pootle said:Congratulations! You ARE the worlds smallest man!![]()

In fact you could make the case that some of the trian operating companies encourage fare dodging by failing to staff stations in a more appropriate manner..
tbaldwin said:Fare dodging is a good thing. Instead of the scumbags running the transport system lining their pockets even more they have to spend more on staff to check tickets.
Its a win win situation. Most of us already pay for the transport sytem through our taxes. And it also helps to create Jobs...

The only way? Don't talk wet. Staffing could easily be increased by shaving the shareholder premium by a small amount, using some of those subsidies to create employment rather than line pockets. The only way that staffing can be increased is to add the cost to the fares of everyone who pays for a ticket - those who steal from the rail operators are ultimately stealing from their fellow passengers.

By NOT being some kind of hair-ruffling, round-the-ear-clipping, racist, middle-class-yet-rough-diamond intolerant kind of proto-Dixon-of-Dock-Green-updated-for-the-21st-century, you're causing all kinds of cognitive dissonance in what passes for a cranial cavity in the poor mite, which is making steam come out of his ears. This, in turn, is causing earwax to be deposited onto his shiny suit, and with self-esteem as fragile as his, that's having a dire effect on his public image.
I hope you're suitably ashamed of yourself![]()
