I get 25 days ie Mon-Fri, which means 5 weeks annual leave, plus 10 1/2 days Public and privilege leave days. 8 of them statutory public/bank holidays the other 2 1/2 privilege days to be taken either on certain dates or elsewhere. After 10 years service it goes upto 30 days annual leave. Given I usually do a few hours extra a week I usually get 12 flexi days too per year.

When i worked part-time on a permanent contract I got 14 days leave, which i thought was really generous as I only worked ten hours a week

I've actually gone up to 25 days + bank holidays but our AL is actually in hours...........which is a right royal pain in the arse !

That does seem a lot! How many bank holidays are there in a year btw?
Most I've ever got was 30 days plus bank holidays, and one year the 3 days between Xmas and new year.
Mostly it's been 25 plus bank holidays, with the NHS.

35 days but i dont get bank holidays off . used to be 27 days plus hours in lieu of bank holidays but that got too confusing so they changed it. however, a day is counted as 7 hours and most of our shifts are at least 9 hours long, so if you take a days holiday, you have to work an extra 2 hours somewhere else in the week. we also get time off as "compensatory" hours when there isnt enough work in exchange for working more when its busy, but we dont decide when we take them/do the extra, which is a bit pants

35 days, plus an extra 5 (ferie fredag - means you take off at your own expense), if you don't take the extra 5 you get these paid back.
Plus one moving day a year (paid).

I only discovered recently that you're supposed to use holiday if you want to be off on the Xmas week on non bank holiday days (some places I've worked, the office is just closed for it). I'm sure I've just blatantly not come in on that week before, without counting it as holiday - heck, not like there's going to be enough people to notice and all our contacts will be taking a break.
