see, i've never got Warren Zevon. People who's opinions i really trust like Will Self and Kershaw and the like are always banging on about what a genius he is but.... his lyrics don't seem all that, the music is really generic, i just don't see the appeal?

He rejected the Bible and Shakespeare - about time these were scrapped, I think. It makes the show sound frightfully dated.

It's one of those things. I find the same with Van Morrison. So many I respect think he sits at the right hand of god, and try as I might, I find it moderately pleasant background music.
