And what are your weaknesses?

^^^^

hahahaha....

I just can't bear this question in interviews.

In fact, I just can't bear interviews - it's just so awful having to big yourself up and feed them all the bollox that you know they want (whilst trying to hide that you're doing it the textbook way and showing them you're 'unique and perfect for the job' - pukerama!).

I just say that 'I try and take too much on, sometimes'. Which is a load of bollox, of course. But how on earth can you answer that question without sounding like a twunt? Kabbes is right - -saying something that is really a strength is just too transparent....

In my last interview (and I got the job) I went for #1 Bullshitter award.

I said I'm aware that I can be disorganised (which is true), and turned it into a positive by saying that I'm aware of it & that I write notes, make lists and do other things to actively improve my organisation. :o Worst thing is, its true.

I'm such a cock. :D

Weaknesses in an interview?

I'm impatient when I know an answer, when I know how to fix something, when I know for a fact I know wtf to do... get the fuck out of the way and let me at the keyboard!!!

The way to deal with this is not to answer with something to do with work.

I always answer "Cheese". Everybody can relate to that.

I've said that 'I can be a little quiet at first' in my last two interviews (six years ago, and 10 years ago), and it didn't seem to do any harm. The AT FIRST bit is pretty vital though....:)

I say I sometimes have trouble concentrating so either plug into some music if i need to press on with something then and there. Or, if possible leave it and do something else knowing if I come back in 5 mins or half an hour I'll do a better job.

A quick check of my post count and this is patently bollocks.

I go for the Homer Simpson answer.

"I'm slow to learn, take lots of sick days and stuff goes missing from the office"
