Ancient man made metropolis found in Africa.

My guess is that life is to be found in countless places around the universe, and I'm just talking about water.carbon-based life at our scale. There could very conceivably be life of a kind and scale such that we don't even recognise it as life.

That said, this life will be evolving a very very long way from here. We cannot say what the chances are that intelligent life has evolved in each place where there is life. But to think that evolution somewhere else will have led to life that is like a mammal on Earth is, frankly, silly. I'm also convinced that we've never been visited. The distances involved mean that we probably never will be.

I think that there's plenty of evidence to say different, but that's way off topic.

Watch the video on google vids (made for the history channel) called "I know what I saw" it's 90 minutes of mind blowing stuff, from highly credibal sources. :)

I don't think that this thread has anything to do with ET life, it's just we may not be right in our human history. And that's not outside the realms of possibility. IMO. :)

There is a wealth of evidence to show that there are people who believe they have met aliens... not the same thing.

Well, until there's "hard evidence" then some people will never believe. But I think that hard evidence already exists in radar images and radiation readings from "landing" sites. Which does exist. Coupled with highly qualified military personel and goverment officials that think the same thing, there's enough "circumstantial" evidence to put this fucker in prison for a million years.

Right so as I said, is there any actual serious stuff about this place? What's it been named? I tried googling 'Ancient african metropolis' but it's either sites like 'abovetopsecret', or stuff about already well known stuff from west and north Africa.

Being sexy, mainly (appart from Sarg Clifford Stone, who mings)

Oh, and observation of known aircraft, that sort of thing. ;)

When you have a 9ft triangular "probe" type craft, changing colours like a global hyper colour T-shirt infront of your face, that you can touch, and read the strange inscriptions on it, which takes off at mach 1000, then maybe you'll perk up and take note. :D

How about we got back to the (possibly interesting) premise of the thread?

It's all bollocks. There is no basis in truth. Those markings on Google Earth will be from an already known site, otherwise it would be news.

Remember when 'Atlantis' was found on Google Earth? And Nessie?

Astronaut Gordon Cooper [...] have said
No he hasn't.

What can be learned about the UFO world from Cooper's association with and exploitation by it? Several interesting and uncomplimentary conclusions can be reached.

Through it all, Cooper's behavior has been exemplary. He has been candid in his feelings and curious about UFOs and other topics generally considered "far out", but he has every right to such interests.

This candor and cooperation has been met with exploitation and misrepresentation from UFO promoters and publicists.

On coast-to-coast television, Cooper recently made a blockbuster statement that had the telephone lines tied up the next day, as viewers telephoned the stations which carried the syndicated Merv Griffin Show, anxious to find out if their ears had been playing tricks on them the night before.

Toward the end of the talk-show host's interview with the former Astronaut, Merv broke into a secretive tone of voice right on the air, and aimed a hundred-thousand-dollar question at his guest: 'There is a story going around, Gordon, that a spaceship did land in middle America and there were occupants, and members of our government were able to keep one of the occupants alive for a period of time. They've seen the metal of the aircraft and they know what the people look like - is that a credible story?'

For all intents and purposes Cooper should have laughed for assuredly such a speculative story belongs in the category of science fiction or space fantasy. But Gordon Cooper kept a straight face when he replied: 'I think it's fairly credible. I would like to see the time when all qualified people could really work together to properly investigate these stories and either refute or prove them.'

The bombshell had been dropped. Cooper went on to say that from the various reports of UFO contacts and abductions he had been privy to, he was convinced that the occupants of this crashed UFO were 'probably not that different from what we are,' - that they are almost totally humanoid (i.e., have two arms, two legs, a torso and readily identifiable facial features) in appearance.

of course, it all depends on who you believe.......His own words, or a website dripping in skeptisism.

Oh xes :D

The bloke gave his opinion - there's nothing there based in fact. He's not been privy to any more 'reports' than the general public. He's just heard all the reports of 'alien encounters' and thinks there's a possibility of them being true.

An astronaut is just as likely to believe this nonsense as anyone else. Perhaps even more likely.

That wasn't his own words. It was some of his own words combined with someone else's words to give them a different meaning....

PS, that Oberg Fella is ok. I;ve duelled with him once or twice in the past :) He's a professional debunker.
