Anarchy and teen rebellion...

What would be the post revolutionary anrachist societies approach be to the red/brown suauce issue? Surely food would taste good enough not to need any added extras?

My comments were flippant and largely intended as a parody for those who proclaim that ALL problems are at root created by wider society and the economic system

Who are these people? Even the most determinist-y "orthodox" Marxist would not describe "all problems" in this way.

Well, having had a read of the précis of the 'Hooligans or rebels' book, these rebellions seem to be as motivated against wider society as against parents - possibly more so. And as we know, social conditions across the whole time period we're talking about have bene ones based around a coercive hierarchy of power. Indeed, the synopsis I read emphasises the rebellion of the poor and the 'untold' stories - but certainly frames it in relation to wider society.
I would dispute whether rebellion is actually inherent to teenagers. Rather, I would argue that adolescents are very sensitive to percieved injustice (like being treated as though they were still children) and tend to test the boundries of what is acceptable. The modern status of the teenager as being sort of an adult but still treated as a child has a lot to answer for in this respect, IMO.

I mean would anarchist parents have the same issue with tattooing as capitalist ones? As Idris says, would the reaction simply be 'That's nice, now run along' as part of a wider acceptance of kids behaviour?
Surely that would depend on the parents? Some parents would probably be very keen to tell their kids not to get tatoos, even if they didn't forbid it.
