Amir Khan Pay per view

Seeing the left hand that hit Khan's jaw in slow-mo and the way his head was mashed up by that one solid shot makes me glad he was able to get up and walk & talk afterwards cos it was a belter. I'd like to see him give it another go, cos i reckon he's got potential but it must wreck your confidence a bit to go down like that.

It'll certainly be a major test of character for him. That's the ultimate test for a boxer, coming back back from a heavy knockout. He knew he could handle being knocked down and fair play to him for that, but now he has to adjust to the fact that he isn't invulnerable and that's been proved in a manner that couldn't be any more devastating for him, IMHO.

The first shot that wobbled him, I didn't see it until the replay and I don't think the commentators did either. Too fast!

Innit. I think they (i.e. promoter, trainer, etc) all see that this was completely the wrong match-up now cos Prescott was much better than anyone seemed to anticipate here. Almost to the point of arrogance maybe? But like you say, his hand speed (and accuracy) was very impressive.

Lennox Lewis got knocked out by McCall relatively early in his career. There's no reason Khan can't come back from this. He's just got to train to avoid being hit on the chin

I think they just didn't know enough about Prescott and to be fair nobody really knew thta much about him. It'd be interesting to see what happens to Prescott, knocking out Khan so devastingly will push up his profile worldwide.

Shame for Khan, he's a great technical boxer, but his problems are that he just can't take a punch

He's a glass jawed warrior. He needs to train with Audley Harrison to find out how to fight a long boring fight instead.

He has no ambition anyway. Any of these guys saying they want to win a title and retire at 25 give a glimpse into their minds - and it's more ego than ambition. Khan should have stayed amateur for his entire career. :)

One of the lads in the office did the pay-per-view thing on this. Fell asleep just before the fight, woke up 4 mins after the fight started.

Best money he has ever spent :)

So, I didn't know until last night.

The smugness has been punctured.

What a shame.

Would have liked to see that.
