I told you in the post you quoted. There never was intention to tell or write history. That they give a very lively record of that time period and the young umma is coincidental and can't be verified against other documents.
That is also the reason why the Hadith compilations are of such value for any historian who researches the history of Islam and in broader context the history of the Arabs and the Arabian peninsula; they are the only available existing source. Yet one can't do such study without keeping in mind the Traditions were not intended to give a historical record.
