Am I being too sensitive? (Ad complaint)

I got this reply from the ASA today

In this case, the Council considered viewers were likely to interpret the ad as ridiculous and bizarre, and that the humour, albeit subjective, was likely to be seen as light-hearted. Whilst the implication that the man reminded the woman of a cooked turkey may be seen as distasteful to some, Council considered the focus of the ad was on the man's yoga position, rather than his appearance or size. They therefore considered the ad unlikely to encourage emulation, or to cause serious or widespread harm or offence for the reason suggested.

disingenuous pedantry I reckon to say its not his appearance or size that is focused on

Received the same, word for word myself. I agree it's mealy mouthed shit. They know it's taking the piss out of fat people but it's not explicit so I guess they can't really do much. Interesting how they ignored the fact he's the only one doing that pose isn't it? If it was nothing to do with appearance why pick a fat man at all? Why pick a man at all? Why make him look scruffy, unshaven and messy? We know why because that's how fat people are, lazy, smelly, messy etc.

The response I got from Amazon was worse, to paraphrase 'we've taken your feedback on board and forwarded it to the relevant department for investigation but we can't tell you what that department is, the procedure of the investigation or it's outcome'

I wasn't expecting anything but I'm glad I tried.
