Am I an idiot?

Is Tommers a (soon to be poor) idiot?

How long is it now that he's gone without a goal for the Ambulance Chasers?

You'd might as well start spending that tenner...:D

Hey Tommers, at the rate it's going I will be glad if Liverpool score 6 in the last 10 league games. Reckon your bet is safe :(

well, don't want to count chickens, tempt fate etc etc. 6 (or 7 we will have to argue that one if it comes to it) goals in 10 games isn't impossible, and he has had two goals disallowed ( :D )

and don't think I haven't noticed the sudden increase of votes in the poll for "no, your money is safe" either! naughty! If I could close it I would.  :D

Get in there Robbie son! Now, his first ever goal for Liverpool came in a 5-0 v Fulham. He got all five. No he's opened his 2nd account against Fulham. I'd settle for three tonight :)

ETA - His first ever goal came in the first leg v Fulham. His 2nd - 6th goals then followed in the next game. Although he only scored one tonight I am stunned Liverpool scored 5 goals in one game after only scoring 5 in their previous 11.

Lots of 5s. Hmmmmmm......If Robbie scores another 5 that will total 6 and a lost bet.

nah, that would result in 6 goals and a huge argument ;)

I still hold that the bet was "more than 6". the opposition say it was "6 or more". we have discussed it and decided to argue about it if it comes up...

well done though robbie. only need 5 or 6 in 8 now. :(

:)

I think your bet is safe.... but hope I'm wrong.

Of the 8 remaining league games, 5 are away at Newcastle, West Ham, Blackburn, Porstmouth and WBA. The first three will be pretty tricky and the last two will be fighting relegation. Pompey is last day of the season so hopefully they will be down by then.

Of the 3 home games, we have Neverton, Bolton and Villa. Robbie used to like scoring against the neighbours so that could be an interesting one. Bolton will be a tight game too.

The question is how many minutes he will get. I hope he starts the next couple of matches because he looked lively last night and you can see he's enjoying himself - unlike Mozza.

well... my opponents say 3 in 4.

I say 4 in 4.

he's scored three and had two disallowed (ha!).

it would be just like him to score a hattrick against west ham. :(

getting close though, he seems to have hit some kind of form...

Last night, in a drunken moment, I bet two of my friends £10 each that robbie fowler would not score 6 goals in all competitions over the rest of the season.

do you think that was a good bet or not?

Is it pay up time? Maybe your mates will buy you a beer

scored 1 every three games for the pool & man c

Another goal for Robbie = a bump (and the music from Jaws)

:D

yep. getting tense, ain't it? :D

wasn't a goal though, so morally he still needs four. :p

Negated by the fact that his disallowed goal at home to Charlton was 'good' so unlucky there :p

hahahaha!

70% of you? IN YOUR FACE!!!

5 goals. spent force. past his best. give up on the hero worship, he's not 21 any more!!!

I'm off to spend my winnings!

Well done dude.

His goals per games started ratio was ok though. If he had been eligible for the FA Cup and had played a few more league games then you would have lost your bet I think.

It would be the decent thing for you to offer a new bet next season to your mates. Robbie to score at least 25 in all competitons?

I've never understood all the hype about Fowler. He's part of the perma-injured Liverpool generation who could only ever manage about six games a season by the time they reached 24. Step up Redknapp, McManaman, Rob Jones.

hehe. maybe... he was worryingly coming into form towards the end of the season. 25 would be a bit optimistic though I reckon...

Fowler will not get 25 goals next season. Pauline Fowler has more of a chance of getting 25 goals. He might just about manage 25 minutes.

Bizarre. Fowler has scored 176 goals for Liverpool in 346 games. More than a goal every 2 games. 25 goals in all competions next season is do-able and I will put a virtual tenner on it with you right now ;)

Rob Jones and Redknapp had terrible luck with injuries. A loss to Liverpool and England.

oh god. can I not just have a break from these fowler-related bets please? just a couple of weeks off? :D

Done! :) Fowler had a fantastic 2 or 3 seasons with Liverpool, but those days are long gone. His last decent goal total was in 1996/7, and he's just not that player anymore.

Saying Fowler is going to do well next season is like saying Sutton was going to have one this time around
