do you think that was a good bet or not?
Biffo said:I would expect him to score at least 6 goals by May. However, as pointed out, it depends how much he plays. He's prone to scoring hattricks so two good games and you're £20 down. Overall, I would expect you to be paying up but the Liverpool factor** may yet strike again.
**Where a good/excellent player joins Liverpool and immediately has a shocking dessertion of form - eg Diouf, Morientes, Cisse.

I'm going to be very interested to see if he starts against birmingham.
if he's restricted to substitute appearances then I may be alright.
ivebeenhigh said:i think its unlikely he will score a total of exactly six goals. so long as that was how you phrased your bet you should be fine.

RenegadeDog said:True... to a large extent it depends on how much back to full fitness he gets. If he gets that back pretty quickly he will bang them in since, as others have pointed out, Liverpool are creating tons of chances, they just have been lacking that kind of striker to score them. On the other hand as a bit part - I'm not so sure.
On a different note, will Ashton be ready to play against the Arse tomorrow?

Brixton Hatter said:I bet someone at the start of the season (before he'd scored at all) that Peter Crouch would score at least 10 goals this season. I was laughed at. I think i'm on for the money though!
Looks like a close one to me. He's not gonna start all 17 Premiership games, maybe 10, should be enough to net him 4 or 5 goals, then it depends on the Champions league.tommers said:now, come on... it's not cut and dried surely?
liverpool have 17 league games left. plus 2 champion's league (at least).
no fa cup (cos he's cup tied)
will he be a first team regular?
his injury record is pretty bad since he left liverpool....
over the last five years he has started 103 games, come on as sub 34 times and scored 47 goals.
tommers said:five games, no goals.![]()
although he did stay on for 75 mins last night, and started the last game too. that's rather worrying.
:Biffo said:Cool your boots man. Last night was his 4th appearance:
tommers said:ah well, better to have bet and lost than never to have bet at all.
hang on, that's not right....

stupid kid said:Has he scored yet? That six goals is starting to look like a bit of a task...
