Given the fund raising target to get the men's team over last time was into five figures, I'm guessing it's thought two teams travelling may be unaffordable.

It's already been said it needs a fund raising effort. When we faced extinction the fans appeal raised sub 20k - with plenty of neutrals donating. I can't honestly see the fans stumping up 20k plus. Given its to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the men's team playing there, if only one team travelling is affordable, it doesn't seem unreasonable it's the men.

The funding from fans is also a grand down already from last time. I put that much in from flogging Hamlet history books. There will be no more printed DHFC history books / booklets from me anything new now will be online.

The fundraising has started, already. There will be an Altona 93 bric-a-brac market around the home match in three weeks. If someone of you is going to be over to Hamburg that weekend by chance, please come along and say hi!

For those that remember this last time, this year’s friendly won’t be on the same weekend as the Schlagermove festival which takes over a lot of the city (think bad dance music, hundreds of thousands of bottles of schnapps and lots of vomit). I’m not sure if this is a shame or not, considering how funny it was.

For those that remember this last time, this year’s friendly won’t be on the same weekend as the Schlagermove festival which takes over a lot of the city (think bad dance music, hundreds of thousands of bottles of schnapps and lots of vomit). I’m not sure if this is a shame or not, considering how funny it was.

Explains why my hotel was so cheap though flight prices back are leaping up. Looks like I’ll be on the … choochoo

Thanks for posting this, Al Cunningham! I just attached a slightly better readable version of the events schedule (though without the explanation texts).

We're all looking forward very much to celebrate that weekend with you in Hamburg! See you in July!

Especially looking forward to the women’s game on the Friday. The way things are going in the UK particularly after the outright ban on trans women in Scotland I may find myself looking for a team to play for in Germany.
