Think i'll stick to me jam n bread now.

Peanut butter (low salt/sugar kind) on wholemeal toast or unsweetened beans on wholemeal toast or poached egg/boiled egg with wholemeal toast are all healthy substantial breakfasts that are high in protein (good for maintaining energy through the morning). :)

Jam is very high in sugar you know *wags finger* :p

Crunchy nut cornfalkes or if am decadent some weetabix.

Weetabix is alright!

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are nice but waaaayy too sweet for my liking. I'm not used to eating lots of sweet stuff*

*don't worry, I'm hardly virtuous, I have a taste for savoury snacks and salt :o

Ok how about bran flakes? Or muesli with honey and nuts so it's similar to your usual breakfast?

why do so many people put water on their muesli. sounds absolutely fucking disgusting

ah, but if you put boiling water on it it become like porridge only with added fruit, nut and seed goodness

Does it get as mushy as porridge? I might try that....porridge makes me want to vomit after a certain amount of spoonfuls, it's the consistency :(

I'm not sure I have adequate mushy assessement skills to answer your question accurately

I'd say less stodgy, but the boiling water does fluff up both the porridge and the dried fruit so it is quite mushy. You could always adjust the much level by adding water or more oats

Yeah, it's worth a try anyway.

I wish I could eat porridge with fruit/honey in it cos it's so good for you but it just makes me gag after a bit :(
