The guy's 81 and he runs a company so I don't think he's too worried about securing future employment - though he's also been a science fiction writer since the 1950s and I think the line between fiction and reality may have become a little blurred for him.

The world's governments worrying about aliens being a threat to "National Security" is a bit like Pacific islanders watching a US aircraft carrier sailing past and wondering "Do you think that could be a threat to us if it turns out to be hostile?"

I'm glad we're not in a world where a billiionaire who thinks he's the smartest person alive would fake an alien attack in an attempt to prevent a nuclear war between the US and Russia.
