Resurrection might be my favorate. 3 was balls.

This new trailer looks shit. Splat splat splat, no acting or plot.

Acting or plot? Its and AVP movie, its needs little of either, as long as it concentrates on its core compentancy of dealing death in cool and inventive ways I'll be entertained.

I retract my Aliens statement. A read of Fangoria and SFX (SFX was better) has made me realise the Aliens look wikkid based on the Stan Winston (i think) ones from Aliens. The Pred-Alien looks OK too. This film features 100s of models and maquettes as well as the usual CGI. The fact no one famous is in it can only be a good thing. As EVERYONE will be disposable

If your ONLY complaint about Alien vs. Predator is that it wasn't graphically violent enough, then you're going to love this movie.

I can’t accurately say that “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem” is a good film. Really, it’s not. But it is enjoyable. It’s one of those movies that you don’t see for plot or characters or deep spiritual discovery. You’re seeing it because you want to see Aliens and Predators go toe to toe.

The story is ludicrous and the characters are a mess. While all seven preceding movies (four Alien ones, two Predators and a single double bill) may not have had the best plots, they tended to make their own cliches. This new film, however, dips into the cliche well of the slasher movies and cheap horror flicks of the 80s and 90s.

Just seen it tonight, it was rather good, a vast improvement on the original AVP. It from being a horror style film (like the original Alien), to an action movie in the manner of the 2nd Alien film. Some bits of gore were cut awkwardly to make it less graphic, then there were other bits that were left in and were pretty good and the body count was really high. Some of the CGI was pretty poor, especially the burning industrial plant.

Spoiler: my views

For fans of the genre's this much closer to the wet dream you want. Loads of fighting, no real storyline (until the end where Weyland Yutani company gets brought back into the equation, meaning another is on the way, so everything still sorta keeps a timeline leading up to the original alien film) Thought there was far too many similarties with the Aliens film, the woman driving the tank, the little girl, wiping the girls face clean, the woman and the bloke almost mirroring the Hicks/Ripley relationship towards the end & the escape via the helecopter.

Just watched AVP Requiem.....

It was nice to see that it started from where AVP left off but thats about it...Trash and not even good from a cheesy slant either, then again I did watch it at home on my pc so maybe its a film that only blooms on the big screen

Really excited about the new Batman film though....it better be DARK

the first human fatalities were excellent.


i dislike annoying children and to have an alien bursting out of his chest was
then the film goes horribly wrong.
what the fuck was up with the special effects?
dreadful.

and that scene with the pregnant woman in hospital?
whoever the director was, he IS a sadistic git.
pregnant women scare me too but c'mon?
did it really have to go that far?

disappointing.

but the annoying child scene is possibly the best scene ever...

I quite enjoyed seeing the pregnant women get toasted. Infact most of the fatilties were pretty cool, especially as most of the charachters got knocked off, like i said in my earlier review thou, the 3 that did survive and they way they did it stank too much of the Aliens film.

Assume the next one will be the last one and somehow it will tie in with the far away future and sending the Nostromo to LV-426.
