I used to have one, but the sound was a bit much at 4.30am when Mr Moose gets up (complaints from the neighbours and everything ), hence us getting the gentler hindu one. Thanks anyway

I briefly ran a prayer clock on my PC - thinking it would be interesting to understand the culture, but I lasted 24 hours.

The Hindu one sounds interesting

I'm an insomniac so don't need an alarm clock, but if I did, the PC is running all the time I'm home.

When I was travelling in West Africa I used to love being woken up by the call to prayer. I'll never forget looking out of my Bamako hotel window watching the sun come up over the smoky streets and the people heading off to pray.

Whereabouts are you? Anything from London I can send you in return?

Sorry about the delay, but things were a bit hectic at work for a few weeks. But I managed to get to the souq a couple of nights ago and now have a bright green mosque alarm clock for you. Will head to the post office in the next couple of days hopefully.

Anyway, it's not in the shop yet, but Habitat are going to do an 'Okko' alarm clock with a little bird on top that tweets and wags it's tail. £20 to you, cheep at half the price.
