might have been purple normy, milly molly's housemate. he looks loads like alan carr.

i haven't taken to alan carr. a few years back i dimly recall some late night thing with four comedians facing each other on two sofas, making stuff up (sorry to be so vague - might have been hosted by JLC??). anyway, he irritated me loads on that, cos his shtick seemed to me "i have an unsettlingly creepy and annoying voice. and i'm gay." - and no actual wit (twas also the first time i came across frankie boyle, who was very funny) - anyway, it may not have been his ideal environment. but i'm afraid i can't bear to find out.

purple normy is funnier, anyway. and he can take photos of your insides. bet alan carr's a crap radiographer.

Nah i think i met him didnt i? at Country show when you guys got back from Popstarz? I am fairly sure it was Allan rather than normy.

i do wonder if some peeps dismiss him completely because he is camp , all that macho ' im not gonna like a ghey ' sort of thing. Im straight but still think he's funny

I'd almost say I find the opposite to be true. He is about as mainstream as you can get, loved by the 'meatheads' and like Norton gets most of his laughs *because* he is gay. Although unlike Norton he at least has another couple of strings to his joke bow (i.e "I have bad teeth" and "I have a funny voice"). I cannot stand the man because he plays off the cheap and lazy gay stereotypes without actually brining anything to the table.

Saying that, I did actually giggle a couple of times at this as it did seem to have a little more depth then any other time I've seen him (i.e on various crappy gameshows and chatshows) when he has been really terrible.
