mears said:I think Hamas eventually will recognize Israel. I would hope my government doesn't deal with one side that refuses to acknowledge the existence of the other.
And really the whole region. My god here in 2006 and countries in the ME run their business like Tsarist Russia.
How ignorant is that?

Aldebaran said:1.The government of a nation that invaded and currently occupies an other sovereign nation is in no position to claim thatit even remotely would be considered to have some "moral weight" on anyone's thinking process.
2. A state that occupies the land of others in violation of all resolutions voted against it in the UN has no claim to make to be recognized by the peoples of the land it occupies.
Glad to see that this board doesn't lack a US Made Expert Of the Middle East. It becomes almost boring.
My business, both at home and elswhere (which includes the USA) gets runned the way I want and not otherwise, which makes that I am the Tsar. The same counts for other aspects of my life. I am the Tsar and in one case the Tsarevitch.
Now you tell me: Why would I be bothered by futile remarks of someone like you?
Good question: How ignorant are you?
salaam.
mears said:That is good.
However this is bad, from the same article:
"it continues to insist it does not recognise Israel's right to exist, despite coming under renewed international pressure to change its stance."
How can Israel deal with a entity that doesn't recognize its existence.
You can't go anywhere until that changes.
Remember Hamas, you are in the big leagues now.

Being Tsar at home is different than having a Tsar (absolute monarchy banning political parties like saudi arabia and syria) running your government.
No wonder nobel peace prizes or scientific patents are not coming out of the Middle East.
Most Muslim and or Arab nations are about 100 years behind the west in running their societies.
Maybe that explains suicide bombings?

Aldebaran said:Correction: I make some observations of US-member behaviour on various message boards. Would I be interested in writing a case study from sociological point of view, I would have already quite some material to start with.
Maybe it could do you no harm to click on the link in chapter 2 of an essay I posted, leading you to texts of constitutions. (Link to the essay in this thread http://www.urban75.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=152746=
Correction: No wonder that it is a Western invented, Western orientated institution, hence with its focus on those who publish in Western languages. (And a side note: You should do your research properly.)
Correction: We have millenia old cultures and societies. That is something entirely different then the US Coca-Cola & McDonalds "culture". I have not one bit of interest in my society being "runned" like yours is, and you should inform yourself about how societies and countries in Europe are "runned" because yours can take quite a few lessons there in how democracy should be functioning.
Correction: the immaturity of the USA, inescapably leading to arrogance as cover for the lack of roots in a long and shared history, which on its turn inevitably leads to a fundamental insecurity about its worth, hence its self-esteem, is the best explanation of its agressive, blood soaked Capitalism controlled society and foreign policies.
salaam.
mears said:Standard of living, poverty, unemployment and authoritarianism all rampant in the Middle East. Like many civilizations or peoples, Muslims and or Arabs can point to some historical glory, but in our times they are way behind.
And blaming Israel and the US will not help you catch up.
Poor people, such a long way to go.

Aldebaran said:You must be really frustrated that your country can do no such thing as relying on millenia of civilisation and contributions to world history in all aspects of that history. In the USA only the peoples the Western colonisers slaugthered by the millions can.
When do you think the USA is about to elect the first "native American" president? Speaking of being "way behind" ... That can count.
Blaming others for the results of your country's hypocrisy and agressiveness shall not help you to catch up with learning about that bloody self-serving record of the USA.
Poor mears, such a long way to go.
There is a fundamental difference between US'ers of your type and poor people where I live: Those in my country have always their dignity and self-respect to fall back on. They are not schooled for the simple reason that they are poor and have other things to worry about, such as finding the means to feed and shelter their family (or themselves).
You on the other hand are not poor as they are, you are a child of a luxury that floats on the sweat and blood of poor people in poor countries. Yet despite all that luxury, giving you all the opportunities you want to explore to educate yourself, you obviously chose to be and stay ignorant because you are intelectually lazy.
Not such a good record when it comes to show dignity and self-respect, isn't it.
salaam.
mears said:Nice to meet you. What country are you from? I am from the US.
We are wealthy beacuse of our system. In fact we pay billions to Arab governments for their oil. And Arabs still live in poverty! Why is that? Why do you have so many poor people? Why do so many Muslims and or Arabs want to come to the West? Why could Mohammad Atta not find a job in Egypt? Why do Madrassas teach the memorization of some holy book instead of science and Mathmatics? Maybe its all Americas fault![]()
Your governments have failed the people. Not Israel and not the US, but your own governments.
Chlidren blame others for their problems, grownups should not
tangentlama said:mears, this is all very patriotic of you, but what about the poverty in the USA, or was New Orleans just a figment of our imagination? USA isn't uniformly wealthy or healthy as you portray, and why do Americans still live in poverty? why is that? why does America have so many poor people? Why can't Americans find jobs in America? Why do some schools opt to teach creationism over scientific theory? Maybe it IS all America's fault?
mears said:Sure we have our problems and our poor, I am not disputing that. Too many Americans live in poverty, anyone living in poverty is too many. But I am not sure what you mean by "so many". So many relative to whom? Very few American schools teach only creationism and American unemployment is very low, around 5%.
But this is the ME forum. There is plenty more to talk about like problems in the ME. You people need to open your eyes and not always come back to the states.
Harping on the US won't solve the problems of the Middle East.

The US has dumped 3,100 tonnes of nuclear waste over the region in the form of depleted uranium and the economic system based in our countries (US and UK) are responsible for more than can be imagined. We all have to do something my friend, no matter where we are. However America is definintely where timely intervention by an informed populace can save MANY lives. Same in the UK.
The USA needs to address the Bush Regime and the Federal Reserve.
The UK needs to address the new labour farce and way in which the city of london influences govt....well runs govt...
mears said:Choice? What is that choice? What is your alternative to the economic systems in the UK and US. I think they work rather well
Azrael23 said:Work well for who?
You need to repair your constitution,
You need to challenge your govt on the 9/11 scam,
You need to challenge your govt on the invasion of the middle east.
You need to listen to your forefathers, Washington told you not to engage in imperialism, he told you guys that political parties are baneful..Roosevelt warned you about the military industrial complex.
America has been hijacked by criminals.
So who are they working well for, i`ve got to hear this....
Remember criminals work for no one but themselves, certainly not for people like you, fool.
Azrael23 said:yeah your wrong.
Non debt-based money creation with a real free market. Combine that with prudent protectionism.
If you understood how the economic system works you`d realise how duped you were.

Victor Ostrovsky has written plenty on the mossad psy-ops which destroyed the peace process over the years. is there any reason to believe that these these speculative claims about 'Jaish al Jihad' are genuine?
The Financial Times reported Saturday that U.S. officials are exerting pressure on moderate Palestinian politicians not to serve in a Hamas-led government and have warned that Washington would sever existing contacts with them if they did.
