dolly's gal
killing things
it's set as my ringtone. very embarrassing when on the bus and me phone rings, but, weighing up the pros and cons, worth it nonetheless

Dubversion said:yes, because obviously Pussycat Dolls are the first act in the history of popular music to use sexuality to sell their records, aren't they?

pootle said:And what is "chavvy dross" anyway? Somehow less worthless than stuff they'd lay at say Fabric?
A large amount of the music industry is built around image, and yeah, pretty girls sell songs, as much as pretty boys do.

Onne thing bout music, when it hit you feel no pain
White folks say it controls your brain
I know better than that, thats game and we ready for that
Two soldiers head of the pack, matter of fact who got the gat?
And where my army at?
Rather attack and not react
Back the beats, it dont reflect on how many records get sold
On sex, drugs, and rock and roll, whether your projects put on hold
In the real world, these just people with ideas
They just like me and you when the smoke and camera disappear
Again the real world (world), its bigger than all these fake ass records
When poor folks got the millions and my womans disrespected
If you check 1,2, my word of advice to you is just relax
Just do what you got to do, if that dont work then kick the facts
If you a fighter, rider, ? bouter? , flame ignitor, crowd exciter
Or you wanna just get high, then just say it
But then if you a liar-liar, pants on fire, wolf-cry agent with a wire
Im gonna know it when I play it
Hook
Its bigger than hip hop, hip hop, hip hop, hip
Its bigger than hip hop, hip hop, hip hop, hip hop
Uh, who shot biggie smalls?
If we dont get them, they gonna get us all
Im down for runnin up on them crackers in they city hall
We ride for yall, all my dogs stay real
Nigga dont think these record deals gonna feed your seeds
And pay your bills because they not
Mcs get a little bit of love and think they hot
Talkin bout how much money they got, all yall records sound the same
I sick of that fake thug, r & b, rap scenario all day on the radio
Same scenes in the video, monotonous material, yall dont here me though
These record labels slang our tapes like dope
You can be next in line, and signed, and still be writing rhymes and broke
You would rather have a lexus, some justice, a dream or some substance?
A beamer, a necklace or freedom?
Still a nigga like me dont playa hate, I just stay awake
This real hip hop, and it dont stop until we get the po-po off the block
They call it....

FabricLiveBaby! said:"chavvy" dross to me is the stuff that would appeal to the materialistic, gold diamons and rings, look at me I'm a pimp daddy, and I have a fast car kind of shite faux hip hop culture. (like Akon and the PCD) Infact, I think it's just the geral bastardisation of hip hop culture.

FabricLiveBaby! said:And secondly Dub, stop being so fucking judgemenal. You don't know me, or my views from adam or george. You pick out and quote my posts that you don't agree with but quielty ignore the ones that you do and Slag me off whenever you have the chance no matter what is on screen. Grow the fuck up, you're like a schoolyard bully throwing your wieght around, sort that fucking HUGE chip on your shoulder out... THEN and only then, you may come to me with some sort of rational debate without name calling and sly remarks. I have been nothing but courteous to you despite your bullying, and some reciprication would be nice. Do not bother responding unless you have something other then "fabric is a twat" to say.

pootle said:I don't think that's "chavvy" at all. You seem to be getting confused with bling and conpicious consumption which is a totally different thing althogther.
Lots of bling relates back to black american stars showing off their wealth and achievements, being proud of what they've acheived and earnt. Just because it isn't like how traditional old money would have shown off - fine wines, big houses, rare art, that makes it something to sneer at?
"General bastardisation of hip hop culture"? Gimme a break...hip hop is such an evolutionary, constantly changing genre that cvould anyone confidently say there is a "hip hop culture"? East Coast hip hop and it's values are streets apart from West Coast. Let's not even get into Dirty South, the UK hip hop scene, gangster rap etc etc.

take a look at my two posts to you on this thread. Have i insulted you in the way you suggest? no - i've responded to your posts with sarcasm because I believe sarcasm is all they warrant. That's how it goes sometimes.
I don't have a chip and do engage in rational debate, for what it's worth.
However, you do reveal yourself as someone I find almost permanently wrong, and you do seem comfortable chucking out pejoratives like 'chavvy'. So i react to them. The rest of that little strop ^^ is your paranoia, i'm afraid![]()
