When Airdrie United where still known as Airdrieonians my father was spending the last years of his life in Coatbridge.

When Airdrie United were stil l known as Airdrieonians my grandfather took me to Broomfield to watch them play hearts, and they won 2-1. My father had left Airdrie quite a while by then.

They're reverting to Airdirieonians which is contrary to the conditions under which they were admitted to the league after they bought Clydebank and renamed themselves Airdrie Utd. I don't know if any bankies fans supported the new Airdrie but given the antics of Chairman Jabba I doubt it very much.Hope the Nazi boneheads get relegated this year.
