I repeat: next year, Robert Mugabe for the Christmas message.

Or how about a double-act of David Irving and Nicholas Griffin, both of whom have done far less damage in real terms than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
He's a twat n everything but:
"If the Europeans are telling the truth in their claim that they have killed six million Jews in the Holocaust during the World War II - which seems they are right in their claim because they insist on it and arrest and imprison those who oppose it, why the Palestinian nation should pay for the crime. Why have they come to the very heart of the Islamic world and are committing crimes against the dear Palestine using their bombs, rockets, missiles and sanctions"
Shiraz Dossa, a professor at St. Francis Xavier University, in Nova Scotia, Canada, argued in June 2007 that
Ahmadinejad has not denied the Holocaust or proposed Israel’s liquidation; he has never done so in any of his speeches on the subject (all delivered in Farsi/Persian). As an Iran specialist, I can attest that both accusations are false... What Ahmadinejad has questioned is the mythologizing, the sacralization, of the Holocaust and the “Zionist regime’s” continued killing of Palestinians and Muslims. He has even raised doubts about the scale of the Holocaust. His rhetoric has been excessive and provocative. And he does not really care what we in the West think about Iran or Muslims; he does not kowtow to western or Israeli diktat
No worse than having any other capitalist leader on. Who cares? People who think Ahmedinejad is a 'holocaut denier' who wants to 'liquidate Israel' have been duped by people who likely want to risk starting WW3...
Bullshit, he endorsed an international conference of notable holocaust deniers (David Duke ex Grand Wizard of the KKK etc) in the first year of his Presidency - attended by guess who, yes the very same Shiraz Dossa as above.
He's pretty clearly a 'holocaust questioner' at best - i don't know whether that's a genuiely held position or a political manouvere, externally to rally muslims in the middle east to Iran as the only state which will tell the truth about the jews and internally to provide scapegoats for his neo-liberal policies. Either way, it's pretty fucking rank, as are the attempts to defend him.

I was about to say something about lots of people making assumptions about what Ahmadinejad has or hasn't said, and that I'd previously heard something about some of the stuff that's attributed to him he hasn't said at all and I was about to go and Google to try and find references to that very thing, so thanks for that adc. While I won't triviliase the fact he courted them. It did follow Irving and Griffin's appearance at Oxford University.
Everything's a political manoeuver with him IMOTBH. But I'll get outraged when TV isn't steeped in sin anyway.![]()
What Was The Conference About?
Mr Krege and Dr Toben's visited three universities, which sponsored mini conferences, where some of Iran's future leaders attend. Their goal was to explain the camps, their purposes, and the physical impossibility of the 'Gassing Legend'.
Well, thanks for sharing anyway."I don't care about what he has or hasn't said"

Channel 4 is to air the Muslim call to prayer live every morning during the month of Ramadan.
The broadcaster said it was an act of "deliberate provocation" aimed at viewers who might associate Islam with extremism.
The headline-grabbing move will see Channel 4 broadcast the three-minute call to prayer at about 3am for 30 days from the start of Ramadan on 9 July.
In addition, on the first day of Ramadan Channel 4 will interrupt programming four times during the day – to mark subsequent calls to prayer – with a 20-second film to remind viewers of the approaching prayer time.
After that date, the channel will air the 3am call to prayer on live TV, with the other four prayer times will be broadcast on its website.
